Formal complaint filed against judge in Brannon case

Brant Clifton, reporting at the Daily Haymaker writes: Boy, have the political winds shifted. Last month, obituaries were being drafted for the campaign of Republican US Senate candidate Greg Brannon in the wake of an unfavorable court decision. Then, we heard from Brannon's co-defendant in the civil suit, who told us all about some strange goings-on in the courtroom — including some rather bizarre interactions between the judge and the jury. THAT gets followed up with a revelation that the judge was a 2008 campaign donor to Kay Hagan — who Brannon just happens to be running to unseat this year.

Now, it appears a formal complaint has been filed with the state Judicial Standards Commission against the Brannon case judge, Bryan Collins of the Wake County Superior Court, by Jodi Riddleberger, a leader with the Tea Party-affiliated Conservatives For Guilford County.

Sounds like typical NC political corruption. The place is a cesspool!

Realistically how many states aren't cesspools?

All of it is a cesspool, no matter what state you are in. The whole friggin system is corrupt full of gold plated back scratchers. Just vote the whole mess out and start all over again.

This should make a fine Ad campaign for Brannon, attacking corruption in the justice system.

Isn’t NC the home of the “Fowlers”,,the Dem power couple that usually has their hands in several cookie jars at once? It may be SC. I forget. Haven’t heard from them in awhile.

I agree in principle, but I need to let you know that to do that you don’t vote. Rather, you participate in a “hot” revolution. It’s the only way it EVER happens.

And it is rarely pretty. It’s why, even during the american revoltion, a lot of people wanted the status quo. It may have sucked, but it was better to them than having troops fighting through your neighborhood and property. And that plays to the tyrants’ advantage. Their dance is to push just hard enough that the people DON’T fight back.

mazda77, I agree that it’s time to start over. I’m just not sure the ballot box is going to be an effective means to that end.

Just sayin’

The last chance before the means you state is this November. If it does not put the skids on by wholesale change to disrupt the power structure in DC, it is just a matter of time until the reset button is pushed.

I’m waiting for a March on Washington like this nation has never seen as “We the people” take our country back. I’m serious. If someone, with the wherewithal, organized a Revolution, I’m freakin’ there.
