...an article by Steven Mufson and Juliet Eilperin headlined, “The biggest lease holder in Canada’s oil sands isn’t Exxon Mobil or Chevron. It’s the Koch brothers.” The article was based on a newly-issued two-page report by the far-left International Forum on Globalization. The Post reported:
You might expect the biggest lease owner in Canada’s oil sands, or tar sands, to be one of the international oil giants, like Exxon Mobil or Royal Dutch Shell. But that isn’t the case. The biggest lease holder in the northern Alberta oil sands is a subsidiary of Koch Industries, the privately-owned cornerstone of the fortune of conservative Koch brothers Charles and David.
Actually, nearly all of the tar sands leaseholders are smaller companies that you haven’t heard of–dozens, if not hundreds of them. Koch is not, in fact, the largest leaseholder
The Washington Post was recently purchased by Jeff Bezos of Amazon, who ought to take a hard look at the reporters and editors who collaborated with the left wing smear machine, and while he is at it, should send a note of thanks to John Hinderaker, the blogger at Powerline, who exposed the rot in his new media operation.

Bets on who’s gonna say “Fake but Accurate”?
Of course, when Warren Buffet benefits from government actions it’s all good....
Well..........they gotta be doin’ something evil and un-American somewhere and trying to undermine the country. That’s what hairy reid-iculous says anyway. Man is he fixated on these brothers or what? Kinda creepy huh?
The story has been found to be false but it will be repeated as the truth by the left.
IMHO
Keep exposing the left-wing propaganda, include in it, some of our own.
Who are for example, the 50 some leftwing interests, who contribute MORE than the Koch Brothers, just to liberals?
Who?
Keystone would be good for the country. According to Senator Reid, the bothers are anti-American so why would they do anything for America?
A lie will run around the world, before the truth has left the starting block.
Thankfully, the comments under the Post article have blown up with criticism. That needs to happen more often.
A newspaper clearly in bed with the DemocRATS—Bias exposed for the world to see.
Yet the GOP-e will continue to attach credibility to anything the WP writes.
Can the Koch brothers now sue and own the Post for LIES?
When will they expose Democrats such as Warren Buffet, who would miss the millions his railroad makes hauling shale oil at dangerous speed through sleeping towns. The safer, cheaper XL pipeline would mean less cash to give Democrats in this fall’s campaign.
We really do need a little more limited version of free press, like the British. In Britain, these scum would be sued into bankruptcy—no New York Times protection for them!
And while he's at it, Bezos should pray he doesn't get sued.
For public figures such as the Koch’s, proving libel requires one of two things:
1) That the defendant did wantonly or willfully disregard the veracity of the matters in question; or
2) That the matter was published with “actual malice” in an attempt to injure the plaintiff’s standing or reputation.
In this case, the comPost is almost certainly guilty of both. Not that they need the money, but the Koch’s should sue for millions just to send a message to the other left-wing propaganda organs.
