Did they look in the Indian Ocean?
I tried to make some inquiries of individual policemen after the fact, and the local cops didn’t even want to think about it, much less talk about it. So I asked a cop in an adjacent city if they had heard anything, and he said he got about the same response from cops in the first city he had talked with.
I guess spending a nice, hot day with tongs and baggies picking up the pieces of somebody’s sweet, shattered dreams is a bit much, even for experienced cops.
“I think I found an ear. Or maybe a foreskin. Hard to tell.”
