Left leaning media outlets criticized Internet news mogul Matt Drudge’s tweets on Friday, but the backlash stemmed from a misunderstanding of how Obamacare will affect small businesses.
On Friday, Matt Drudge tweeted, “Just paid the Obamacare penalty for not ‘getting covered’… I’M CALLING IT A LIBERTY TAX!”
A few minutes later, Jason Lee, the Director of Progressive Media at the White House, tweeted a response, saying Mr. Drudge’s tweet was a, “flat lie, no fee for previous year. Scary how much influence he once had.”
From there, the tweets came rolling in, attacking Mr. Drudge via social media and liberal news outlets, Breitbart reported.
“Dude, there’s no penalty until next yr,” Sahil Kapur of Talking Points Memo tweeted, followed with a full story in the news outlet with a headline saying Mr. Drudge was “probably lying.”
“Americans don’t pay a penalty for not having health insurance until they file their 2014 taxes—in 2014,” Dylan Scott wrote in the story. “So either Drudge is lying or he paid a huge penalty a year earlier than he needed to.”
A similar story appeared in Huffington post, in which the author, Jeffrey Young, wrote Mr. Drudge’s tweet was “weird” and a “little head-scratching.”

I always have “Drudge and coffee” to start my day.
I hate to have to come down on the side of the libs, but it’s at least possible that they had no idea Drudge files as a small business.
The reality is that investigative journalism has dissolved, and people who pretend to be reporters....simply read cue cards and write 149-character supportive responses.
We could draft up five hundred kids from high schools across the nation to take over CNN, the New York Times, and Washington Post....and they’d do as good or better jobs as the characters who pretend to work today.
Sad to see how far the line of journalism has fallen.
A lie travels around the world before the truth has time to get out of bed. It’s not about research or investigation, it’s about their ideology and destruction of the truth regarding all things conservative.

It's exactly like Obama's "You didn't build that!" The Liberals won't give us credit for anything. They think we are frauds, liars, and phonies. And when the Libs say something which is egregiously ignorant, we turn around and say, "I'm going to cut them some slack ..."

The libs don't have a worldview that includes business. Hence they didn't know to even consider that business files differently.
We have ignorance and incompetence trying to run America. It's almost over, praise Jesus.
