The White House has unveiled a new website-based app, the Climate Data Initiative, to help explain the science behind climate change and draw attention to the immediacy of the threat.

"This effort will help give communities across America the information and tools they need to plan for current and future climate impacts," John Podesta and John Holdren said in a statement announcing the new website. Podesta heads up President Obama's political efforts on climate change. Holdren is a White House science adviser.

We all need to archive as much of this as we can, because in twenty years it will make a good exhibit at the show trials we’ll hold prior to chopping off all their heads on TV.

I wonder if anyone has ever graphed the correlation between government grants to "prove" climate change and the number of puff piece "research papers" claiming to be so. I'm hypothesizing a very high correlation.

"...explain the science behind climate change..."

Easier to climb a flashlight beam to the heavens.

Just like the inverse correlation between number of government regulations and economic growth and prosperity.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

Immidiatecy!

I remember my 70’s kindergarten days I was going to cause an ice age with too much hairspray. Then the 80’s came along and I was destroying the Ozone layer, killing dolphins, and the wales. Then the 90’s came along and I was burning the rain forest for my hamburgers. Then the 00’s came along and I was baking everyone to death and flooding minorities in New Orleans. Now the 10’s are here and I am changing the climate by breathing and not buying my climate indulgences from The Goreacle. I think I’ll have a diet coke.
