Oregon Obamacare website cost $300 million in tax dollars, 0 enrollees, as in none.

I can barely put 2 pieces of code together but I’ll bet I could have made a website which enrolled at least one person at this point. Well I could have hired someone anyway. Oregon couldn’t even do that.

(From Breitbart.com)

Rep. Jason Conger, the other Republican on the panel, says officials in charge including executive director Rocky King, who left his job in December, should have known better than to try to pull off a project of this scope without hiring an IT contractor to run it. “I think it reflects a certain amount of arrogance that it could be done in the timeframe, that it could be done at all,” Conger said.

But others on the panel tried to emphasize the positive. Democratic Rep. Mitch Greenlick suggested it was time to move forward saying ,“We’re trying to get things solved and I think trying to find out who is the bad guy is probably over.”

Yeah no reason to find out who’s to blame for this massive waste of other people’s money. That was then. This is now. “What does it matter?”

But Oregonians did get this really cool promotional video for Obamacare. And I mean that. It’s pretty cool. Not $300 million cool. But cool.

$300 million WASTED! Are there not Oregonians that are mad as hell about this sheer waste, not withstanding getting their Health insurance ruined or cancelled??

When the military wastes money on missiles and readiness and stuff (/s), the outcry is that the money should have been spent feeding the hungry children or some such.

With a population of 4 million, figuring a typical family of 4...

That is $300 per family, down the tubes. Thrown out the window.

If Oregon taxes at 5% of income, an Oregon family would have had to earn with their hard sweat $6000 in gross income to pay for that $300 to be shredded.

You don’t understand! For a Liberal, the only thing that matters are the good intentions! To try to judge success or failure on actual RESULTS is mean!

I know 3 people who make websites, one who does data sites and none of them can figure out how these people can justify charging millions of dollars, and what was the cost of the main ObamaScam ™ website? Something like $600 million? And still it didn't work? This is a prime example of how easy it is to rip off the government, so you can just imagine the amount of scamming that is going to go on through insurance claims. They just had an article a few days ago of a podiatrist here in New York ripping off to the tune of $175,000 for a 30 minute treatment and the insurance company accidentally sent the check to the patient.

It's an election year. As the voting date moves closer the media will cover this story less and less until the over-educated progressives in the Willamette Valley will just see it as an honest mistake made for an admirable cause and then Dr. No will be reelected by 53% of the voters. And the really ironic thing is that that 300million would have covered the cost of every school bond measure to be voted on this year. And the leftover would cover the operating budgets of the counties cutting there sheriffs dept. because of the drastic drop in timber sharing money. Oregon is screwed.

I got a little excited and meant to say that the leftover money would cover the Sheriffs budget of those counties.

The Oregon site is proportionately far more expensive than Healthcare.gov. The feds spent a bit more than twice as much as the silly little state of Oregon on their non-functional web site.

It’s pretty obvious that there is massive money laundering going on, and some Democrats are well stocked with cash for upcoming campaigns.

None as in nada?

None through the Oracle-developed website except for some journalist accounts that were done at a dog and pony show to demonstrate how well it "worked".

But many enrollments through paper applications.

This was a federal grant. Everyone paid for it.

300 million was intended to pay off criminal ops during past elections and to support fellow commies in the senate race.

‘From’ and still stuck in Oregon, I’m formulating a post that demonstrates what an unmitigated disaster this is.

However, I’m completely at odds with how to address the unbelievable ‘inattention’ this is getting from conservative media and Republicans; I just don’t get it.

I’m extremely busy and hope to have something middle of the week...if somebody else doesn’t actually do a story on the broad picture first, metaphorically-written with a very, very sharp pen...

In the real world...every single elected guy...Republican or Democrat...would be thrown out of office in the next election. But, sadly, this is not the real world.

And the $300 million? It’s as if it never existed. In some Twilight Zone...

"IF YOU LIKE YOUR PLAN, YOU CAN KEEP YOUR PLAN. PERIOD. AND YOU'LL SAVE MONEY."

HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO WORK Once upon a time in Obama's Utopia, tolerant compassionate Democrats kindly conferred cheap affordable universal healthcare on us American who are total scum.

Even though we are all rank cowards on the subect of race, for the first time, we undeserving misogynist, racist, homophobic Americans were going to have our health needs taken care of by our benevolent government.

Kindly Democrats (who despise the 1%) conferred cheap health benefits on all of us Americans, not just those intolerant greedsters with money (who create all the jobs that make the economy run smoothly).

Benevolent Democrats in Capitol Hill offices dreamed of millions of formerly uninsured Americans, and their illegal brethren, marching in lockstep to the polls to vote for kindly Democrats---the givers of all good governmental things.

Kindly benevolent Democrats would sail to electoral victory b/c they stood up to the evil insurance-medical-industrial complex on behalf of us cowardly, undeserving Americans.

Peace, happiness and universal well-being would reign over the land.

And we'd all live happily ever after.....even with astronomical deductibles, drug rationing, and I-PAB Death Panels looming in the distance.

===============================================

O/CARE---DIRECT FROM THE MADOFF FLIM FLAM PLAYBOOK

Skyrocketing premiums, ruinous deductibles, impossible co-pays......none of it was ever mentioned when Democrats marched in lockstep to foist this scam on Americans. The Obamatons dreamed up a bunch of oily phrases that would put Madoff to shame:

<><> O/Care is"freedom"---not being tied to employers' health care.

<><> millenial subsidizing the elderly is "Individual shared responsibility".

<><> the unforgettable "we're going to aggregate the numbers" penalty (WRT employers forced to downsize to escape onerous O/Care mandates).

<><> Speaker Nancy Pelosi's laughable “we'll find out what's in it when it becomes law.”

===========================================

Obamacare is a total misrepresentation, sold with broken promises. Saving costs was a big one. In 2009, the Congressional Budget Office set the net cost of Obamacare at $599 billion over 10 years -- citing a gross cost of $848 billion less $249 billion in tax revenues and other cost savings.

But recently the CBO revised the 10-year price tag to more than $2 trillion. Economist Jonathan Gruber, the father of Romneycare -- which was the template for Obamacare -- recently admitted that well, no, costs will not be going down. "Covering people with health insurance doesn't save money," said Gruber. "That was sometimes a misleading motivator for the Affordable Care Act.

BTW, the law isn't designed to save money. It's designed to improve health, and that's going to cost money." So, Obamacare won't save money, but at least those too poor to afford health insurance will now lead healthier lives, right?

Guess again.
