Malaysian Defense Min says Malaysian Prime Minister Razak will hold a presser on what he called “new developments” at 10aET #MH370
Missing plane family members tell CNN they have been called to a 9:30a meeting, before the 10a ET news conference #MH370. Something is up.
They didn’t say it would never be found ... but only it’s location (as southwest of Perth). What this will mean is that they will now concentrate their resources all in this latest verified location.
As far as it “not being found” - that was ALREADY the case BEFORE they located the last location.
I did not hear the press conference...did they say if they had actually retrieved ANY debris related to the aircraft???
They didn’t describe exactly how they did it. I wouldn’t necessarily jump to that conclusion right now.
2+ weeks of torturous misinformation, rumors, conjecture. The flight is thousands of miles off course from original flight plan. Many will need to see proof of the incomprehensible to resolve reasonable doubt. I probably would too at this point.

Right - I understand these seas are treacherous, where was this satellite data the day it happened. It magically appeared? Still sounds fishy.
I didn’t hear either CNN or the Malaysian government announce any coordinates. This was NOT from the news conference or CNN reporting.
Which means that the pilot could have put it on auto-pilot and bailed out.

The article stated nothing was retrieved and markers were being dropped by planes so ships could return to the area to pick up the debris. Wouldn’t the debris shift? Would the markers follow them?

The Prime Minister alluded to some new data which points to the plane being out in such a remote area in the Indean Ocean that it had to have “ended” there.
nothing really, looks like they will wrap this up, at least they want to end it. No proof offered at all and nothing found at this point.

But they didn’t elaborate on the ‘new data’ other than their conclusions. Radar data? Wreckage found? New ‘ping’ extrapolation? What i heard on the radio was non-specific at all. They can’t do the latter with only one satellite.
It’s reported the insurance companies have already paid out $10 million to Malaysia Airlines before this announcement came.
