Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Lately, Governor Christie has been looking slimmer during his town hall meetings and some reports say he lost about 100-pounds from the lap band surgery he underwent a year ago.

Dr. Charles Simone formerly worked with President Reagan and he took the time to discuss Christie’s weight loss and health.

“It’s very gratifying to see that he lost so much weight and given all the priorities he’s gone through recently and emotionally,” he said.

Lap Band Surgery is the last resort of people who have no self control.

We don’t need a president who needs to have surgery to give him the self control to overcome gluttony.

If he had accomplished this feat by the exercise of self denial and a dedication to self improvement, I might have some respect for the accomplishment of losing 100 pounds. I would never support him for president, but I might give him a thumbs up for his efforts.

If Christie gets the nomination, we need to look carefully at his VP pick because be will not last a year in the job as president before he strokes out or has a heart attack. He is not a healthy looking man.
