To each their own. I prefer a karambit because it is discreet, unobtrusive, and has a secure grip. I would prefer a Bowie for field use. Less so in an urban situation.

Seems a little racist to just assume something like that until all the facts come in.

I've been in, walked, and driven through North Philadelphia since 1970 and I can tell you that there is no chance it was anything other than the assumption. Had to dodge a few bad situations myself in the 70s. If you were talking South Philly, you might have a point.

Hey ‘Gator, the entire episode is on youtube, (Type in the search box: Sammy’s visit All in the family), if ya feel like a blast from the past! The single most hilarious, non stop laughs for a full half hour episode of any sitcom ever broadcast in my opinion. Of course the age of the viewer watching it now counts. There are some ‘in’ lines/gags in it that might not sound funny to the 50 and younger folks but that goes for most older TV shows.
