D.C. May Soon Tell You What to Eat to Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

The Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) may soon be telling you what you should eat to reduce your “carbon footprint.”

In order to—ostensibly—prevent global warming and reduce our national carbon footprint, Washington is already telling Americans what light bulbs they can buy, and what buildings in which they should want to live and work. Now, food could be the next frontier.

Currently, the USDA and HHS are drafting their 2015 Dietary Guidelines. Every five years, the USDA and HHS issue recommendations for Americans on what constitutes a healthy diet. As Dr. Barbara Millen, chair of the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC), remarked, their job is “facilitating and promoting healthy eating and physical activity.”

Day after day...it just keeps coming. Every commercial is a drug or an insurance co....

No more product commercials unless there is a black in it.

Dr. Oz promotes every damn thing that exists on earth. And guess what....We're still gonna die.

Wanna lose weight?? Stop feeding your fat face!! And stop feeding your kids soda and chips. Give them graham crackers and milk instead.

Everything you eat was formed of carbon dioxide. Every time you breathe out, you return some of that carbon dioxide to the air.

I fail to see how that equation can be altered, even with government decrees.

Meanwhile, people who are fully indulging in climate hysteria will happily promote “solutions” that threaten the continuance of life on earth. They really make me nervous.

We’re going to be genetically engineered so that we can make calcium carbonate exoskeletons.

The government will slap a carbon tax on red meat. Red meat consumption will be controlled and reduced by making it too expensive for the Great Unwashed to purchase.

Its the government party at work. Our politics has simply become that which promotes government, and its hangers-on and beneficiaries against everyone else.

I believe this is now the 4th story just a matter of a few weeks on the need to control the food for one reason or another.

We’ve heard how Americans are wasting too much food denying the rest of the world food.

Now it’s control the food because of “Global Warming” or whatever that want to call it this week.

I guess it’s just a coincidence during the 1990’s the Clintons started a campaign that Americans wasted too much food and now Hillary’s big campaign is govt intervention to stop “Global Warming”.

Yep, just a coincidence.

There are no areas of our lives big goverment will not seek to rule. If anyone thinks otherwise, they are a fool.
In fact, I challenge anyone to name one part of their individual lives that government doesn’t regulate or have influence in.

It cannot be done. We’re not even citizens anymore. We’re subjects.
