The problem with schools in America is that resume padding, know nothing Administrators who only stick around for two years, max, and never have to face the fruit of their labors, continually come up with plans designed to give the impression of “progress”. They coddle protected class offenders and punish teachers who rightly try to impose discipline, and teaching standards like right and wrong. They’ve saddled teachers with so much work that they can’t actually teach any more. It’s a disaster and it’s only getting worse, because the ones who are capable and care are the ones who are closest to heading out the door.
Gee, the schools in Burlington, VT and Portland, OR aren't so bad - Democratic as they come.

One would hope that the white lefty idealists who have their heads kicked in or get raped would at least learn a hard-earned lesson, but it rarely seems to work out that way. Oh, they move to a “safer” (majority white) school, the hipsters practice white flight when that first baby is on the way, but they will dance around the real issue like a ballerina.

You can’t make the parents care about their kids.
Especially when the kids are seen as a means to the end of receiving a check from the govt and not having to work.
The actual kids themselves are a nuisance to be put up with for the sake of the check.
Like that Beverly Hall (awarded “Superintendent Of The Year”) who presided over Atlanta’s cheating scandal, and then resigned. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if she’s been rehired elsewhere.
I have become what they fear, solely because of their actions.
I don’t know why this obvious point is repeatedly overlooked by conservatives-we’re supposed to be the ones on the side of truth, let the chips fall where they may.

If you mean a racial realist, I have long been one-many hours of studying statistics opened my eyes in a way that the whitewashd anecdotal crime in the MSM never could have.

Good thing we finally have a black president that can fix this mess.
I’m thinking of the multitudes of administrators and assistant principles like the one in a town near me. Incompetent friend of an incompetent principle who absolutely can not be touched. Try objecting with reason and logic to a new program and you find yourself saddled with extra work, or guarding a bathroom somewhere at a time which is most difficult for you. Oh yeah, and the Superintendent is now retired from that town and working as Superintendent for another nearby town.
This racial dividing is so tiresome. I don’t care what anyone does (blacks, browns, whites, asians...)...as long as I don’t have to pay for it or it’s consequences. Treat everyone nthe same. If the kids are unteachable, put them in “special” schools. If older “kids” break laws, jail them.
Well, I can only hope that he’s working in majority-black schools, where he can’t do too much more harm anyway and the parents will suppport him as long as he’s black.
Public schools are child abuse.
In a word, blacks are in denial.
No accountability, no responsibility, it’s all whitey’s fault because you’re inherently racist and can’t relate to ebonics and a “culture” of ignorance.
Indeed - while many factors may contribute one major factor is always excused away or purposely overlooked. Too many conservatives run away from this.
They have given these schools everything they said was needed to increase performance, black teachers, principals, school boards, etc. They twisted a formerly working institution into a menagerie of violence, ignorance, and excuses. They refuse to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the community culture might be the problem. Order, Discipline, and high expectations are the only things that have been PROVEN to work in these school systems.

People PREFER to be lied to. They’d rather hear “it’s not your fault” than “get off your butt”.
