Utah Sen. Mike Lee is scheduled to visit North Carolina this week to help Greg Brannon raise campaign cash.

Lee, a Republican senator and tea party favorite, will attend a Friday morning event in Cary and an evening reception in Concord. The goal is to boost Brannon’s campaign coffers just before the March 31 deadline for first quarter fundraising. Lee’s visit coincides with his appearance at the Conservative Leadership Conference in Raleigh, an event hosted by the Civitas Institute, where he is a keynote speaker.

The big-name help follows a Brannon fundraiser earlier this month outside Washington that featured Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul.

Lee endorsed Brannon in early March and pledged to visit the state to help him campaign. Brannon faces eight challengers in the Republican primary, including House Speaker Thom Tillis who is backed by a number of top Republicans in Washington.

The morning breakfast at the Embassy Suites in Cary costs $100 to attend with $250 VIP tickets (with a photo opportunity) and $1,250 for table sponsors, according to an invitation. The hosts include: Jim and Colleen Baker, Cliff and Anna Benson, Joey and Prescia Bradley, Mark and Julie Cantin, Rick and Jennifer Gardner, Mark and Robin Hall, Mike and Janet Rogers and Everett and Shelby Scott.

The evening reception at the Speedway Club at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord costs $75 for a ticket. The hosts include: Bob and Connice Dyar, Dave and Lucille Ruths, Tony Treece and David Treece.

$100 for breakfast at the Embassy Suites and only $75 at the Speedway Club.

I figured it would be the other way around knowing CMS and prices.
