.
Thanks for your input.
1. I didn’t actually lose the backups. They were on my computer. iTunes was not able to restore them.
2. The music is still on my computer, just lost it in iPad and iTunes. I can reinstall to the iPad again but have to convert all over again to AAC format.
3. Yes ads on the web pages, and occasionally one opens in a new tab. On my computer I use Firefox with addons to block the ads.
4. Perhaps it is a problem with my iTunes software. Everytime I start it I get this message “The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CD’s and DVD’s are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.” I have reinstalled at least a half dozen times and I do not have other burning software on the computer.
5. Forgive me if I expected few problems with the device. I am used to twenty years of Microsoft hassles.
I agree it’s idiotic advice. Google iOS “7.1 battery drain” and you’ll see several articles about it being the most notable addition with the upgrade. Our phones have all been affected. My iPhone 5 most notably. It’s gone from 24 hrs on a charge to less than 6.
A hard reset is usually the fix all, and it it simple, and quick. Restore is a PITA and time consuming, and unless you are restoring to a previous iOS will probably not fix the issue.
I have a Iphone 4, it wants to update soft ware, It can’t, I have all my music and photos on it. And they are not coming off. AT&T can’t solve the problem. Phone works fine, no scratches on face plate.
Samsung Gal 3 is big battery drainer, get task killer, but you have to task kill every time you use the phone. Down side of it.
The wife and daughter have 4s models. The youngest has a 4. Me a 5.
The wife keeps hers bursting at the seams with photos too.
For you to update a phone loaded up with images and music you need to hook it up to your computer and open up iTunes. But you might want to wait for an update which is undoubtedly coming soon.
No issues for me for the last update. But, I do close open apps (one time I counted and I had 27 open, oops ;)
“The(n) hold the power button and home button in simultaneously until the device shuts down.”
Doing this (just now) just restarted it. It did not completely shut down.
