MOSCOW, March 26 (RIA Novosti) – Moscow is demanding Ukraine to refrain from irresponsible practices that are threatening the safety of civil aviation, according to a Russian Foreign Ministry statement published on Wednesday.

Ukraine’s border control continues to deny Aeroflot crewmembers to leave their airplanes.

“Such actions are not in line with international acts and conventions in following the demands for safe flights of international civilian aviation,” the statement reads.

Another provocation. And the hits just keep coming.

Are the Ukrainian Nationalists TRYING to get Putin to react?

Russian TV, Aeroflot... someone in Moscow is compiling a list.

Its not a pretext yet - or not one grave enough for Putin to order an invasion.

Putin may have a point - it’s hard to think of something more dangerous than being inside an Aeroflot plane.

So, let's see.. Another nation effectively annexes part of yours, you do not have the military power to eject them, you're left pretty much with meaningless empty sanctions, such as cutting off propaganda broadcasts and keeping flight crews in planes. Of course, for the Russians, these little swipes are problematic. They make it hard for them to react to them other than with bluster, and that makes them look weak.

In the end, Ukraine's actions are pretty cagey, I think. Little embarrassments add up, and using them as a pretext for invasion hurts Russia's cause (and popularity.)

Lol, again.

Weren’t you the one promising retribution on Russians for the killing of an Internationally-wanted War criminal that tortured and murdered prisoners of war, just last night.

Turns out he was killed by Ukrainians, not Russians.

I don’t put much stock in you banderist Nazi’s, and I personally couldn’t give a damn about Putin, either. But it’s good that many others now realize who you are, too.

Refusing to allow commercial airline crews to leave the airplane between flights could become a serious safety issue depending on how long the planes are on the ground.

However, it is interesting that flights between the two countries have not been suspended, given all the squawking we’ve heard about an impending invasion.
