Witch-Hunt Against Geert Wilders: The Left’s vilification of a truth-telling Dutch escalates.
FrontPage Mag ^ | 03/26/2014 | H. Numan

Posted on 03/26/2014 7:46:08 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

On March 19, 2014, local elections were held in the Netherlands. On the eve of the election, party leaders celebrated their victories (or losses, as it were, for most parties). During the festivities Dutch politician Geert Wilders appeared in the Hague, one of the two cities in which Wilders’ party, the PVV (Party for Freedom), participated in this election. In a rousing speech before enthusiastic party supporters, Wilders asked the audience if they wanted a bit less local taxation and fewer Moroccans. The audience shouted, “Less! Less! Less!” This created a storm of protest from just about everyone in the country. Wilders’ remark was taken out of context and is being used to vilify him once more.

The political climate in the Netherlands surrounding Wilders now resembles the demonization of Pym Fortuyn in the months leading up to his assassination almost twelve years ago.

Last Sunday the IKON and EO TV stations broadcast a special interreligious Dutch Reformed service denouncing Wilders. The theme was based on Kennedy’s famous “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech. The Sunday service theme was a copycat variation: “We are all Moroccans.” Dutch people present literally embraced Moroccans to show their support for this poor, vilified minority. People wore T-shirts with the text “Wij zijn Marokkanen!” (“We are Moroccans!”).

The message of the fanfare was: We abhor the outright racist remarks of Geert Wilders last Wednesday. We strive towards an all-inclusive society, in which people of all races, cultures, religions and sexual preferences live together in peace. We believe that God/Allah wants it to be that way.

All political parties left, right and center denounced Wilders and demanded his apology. Wilders, nonetheless, is standing by his words.

The VVD (conservative party) Prime Minister has joined the chorus of critics, which now includes all major parties. His party was the last to join.

The PvdA (Labor) party is going even further. They announced that no parliamentary motion presented by the PVV will be supported by the PvdA. No matter what, the PvdA say they will vote against any PVV measure. Once a motion fails, the PvdA will propose it again and this time support it as their own party motion.

The media on the left and center (Holland does not have a right media flank) published a tear-jerking article on Sunday about a poor 11-year-old Moroccan boy who was brought to tears when his classmates teased him by shouting the words “LESS! LESS! LESS!”

The story is from the Telegraaf newspaper, which is seen as a more conservative newspaper in the country. Normally an item like this would be replaced by newer items the same day. However it was still on the front page on long into Monday. Let’s call that a coincidence.

In contrast, another news item in which fifteen “lightly tinted” juveniles (the politically correct term for Moroccan hoodlums) entered a house, seriously mistreated the three inhabitants, ransacked the premises and got away before the police arrived on Friday does not warrant any attention anymore. If only because it would firmly underline the words of Wilders.

Two Muslim parliamentarians now say they want schools to dedicate extra attention to Wilders’ alleged expression of racism. They offered to train teachers and set up education courses. (For a small fee, no doubt.)

PVV parliamentarians on various political levels are walking out in droves. This includes two members of the PVV faction in parliament, together with most members of the newly-elected city councils in the Hague and Almere.

What Wilders said was taken out of context and was blown out of all proportions, simply to divert attention. He didn’t say anything he hadn’t said before, or what Labor politicians said a couple of years ago themselves. He probably didn’t realize that his words would be given so much attention. But since they were, Wilders has taken the opportunity to make a defiant stand on principles he has long championed.

There is a very good reason for Wilders’ opponents to gin up this controversy and distract the Dutch public.

In the recent Dutch elections, apart from local municipal parties and D66 (liberal-democrat party), all parties lost. Massively. Except for Wilders’ PVV, whose losses were quite limited.

Masked by the controversy surrounding Wilders’ comments is any discussion of these huge losses, particularly those suffered by PvdA, VVD and CDA (Christian Democrats). It’s being mentioned in the news, but only casually. Yes, the PvdA lost quite a bit. The VVD lost somewhat. CDA didn’t lose the elections, they “won” — or so they say.

A landslide of political change in the Netherlands is being completely ignored, all because of Wilders’ single remark. The defeat was so embarrassing that a scapegoat was urgently needed. What better than to divert attention to something else?

Meanwhile, there is not a word about the consequences that must attend such an enormous political rout. If a political party loses on the level of what the PvdA lost, heads roll. The PvdA leader in Amsterdam, Pieter Hilhorst, has already resigned. It is almost certain the leader of the PvdA on a national level, Diederik Samson, will have to resign as well. Rumors were already widely circulating before the elections.

However, all of a sudden not a peep. Of the coalition’s 79 seats, 49 seats would have been lost, had this been national elections. (A majority requires 76 seats.) In theory, because these elections were local and not national, the coalition believes it doesn’t have to worry about a thing. National elections are at least two years away. They have the indirect support from some opposition parties to keep the Titanic afloat. By focusing all attention on Wilders again they hope nobody will notice that all other politicians are wearing no clothes.

However, this political calculation may not be as sound as it may seem. Politicians may be leaving the PVV, but the electorate is not. 85% of present PVV voters will vote the same way again. They have full confidence in Wilders. And after all, it’s not the first time such an all-out attack has been made on the PVV leader. Every time he emerges stronger from it. Also, most people don’t like it very much if politicians change their opinions quicker than the weather. Or talk in vague, opaque terms. Sir Humphrey Appleby was by far the funniest character in “Yes Minister”; in real life people don’t like politicians like him.

Wilders always looks for long-term solutions; he doesn’t go for short-term victories as all other politicians do. This is the second local election he basically ignored. The party doesn’t have enough qualified members to be able to govern effectively, so they prefer not to govern. The pragmatic maneuvering has seemed to have paid off politically. But now Wilders is finding, once again, that with a rising political star comes retribution.

Wilders is doing the right thing by not apologizing. Standing by un-PC remarks, no matter what the reaction from anyone, is the ONLY way to break the power of PC.

Thank you for the list.

I IMAGINE that the "list" for French and German achievements would be just as long, MAYBE even longer.

I DO think that if the "question man" were to ask Americans what the Dutch have done, they would probably say much the same. Maybe I'm wrong.

I once did a "canal cruise" along all those watery Amsterdam "highways." We stopped at two places: one for pizza for all on board and one for ICE CREAM.
WHAT a civilized way to see Amsterdam.

I back and support Geert Wilders 100% even though I’m not a voter over there. Wilders has come over to the USA many times and spoken out against Islam (but not against Muslims overall). He is also a very strong supporter of Israel.

In very many interviews, Geert Wilders ALWAYS SAYS that he does not hate Muslims, does not have anything against them, does not think they should all be evicted from the country - and also - very EMPHATICALLY STATES (and repeatedly) that the MAJORITY of Muslims are peaceful and law-abiding in the West. But he recognizes that there is a minority who use the Koran to perpetrate their violence and terrorism (and all of them should be deported.

Wilders says that it’s perfectly fine for Muslims to be in the West (and in the Netherlands) as long as they assimilate, use the language if the country and work. That’s perfectly fine with him.

He also rejects those groups in England, France and Austria (like the EDL, Le Pen’s group, and Haider’s group) as FASCISTS and sometimes violent prone. He will have nothing to do with them.

He is ONLY FOR changing things through the voter and the laws of the country and absolutely NOT through violence.

What I just described — IS — Geert Wilders!

And wealth. And science. And art. HOW COULD YOU NOT MENTION ART? And beer.

The Dutch influence in America has been very important. If you want a little thumbnail of this visit the little farm communities around Bozeman MT—Manhattan, Amsterdam and I forget the other one. Or make it easy on yourself and just visit Bozeman. I truly believe the influence of the Dutch Americans was one of the reasons that area is a good place to live.

There are a lot of people who will go to lengths that Geert Wilders completely rejects and he calls some of these people “rightists and Fascists”.

There are some people who would be against Wilders - on the basis that he doesn’t criticize ALL MUSLIMS and that he thinks that the MAJORITY of Muslims in the West are peaceful and law-abiding, and he has no problem with them.

Wilders is definitely against the Koran and the application of it, per the terrorists and how they develop their doctrines. There’s no question about that.

Since I support Geert Wilders 100% - I also like to make clear where he is coming from!

You can see Post #9, too ...

Audrey Hepburn

I HAD forgotten her.

From GOOGLE: Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian. Recognised as a film and fashion icon, Hepburn was active during Hollywood's Golden Age. She was ranked by the American Film Institute as the third greatest female screen legend in the history of American cinema and has been placed in the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. She is also regarded by some to be the most naturally beautiful woman of all time.

Born in Ixelles, a district of Brussels, Hepburn spent her childhood between Belgium, England and the Netherlands, including German-occupied Arnhem during the Second World War. In Amsterdam, she studied ballet with Sonia Gaskell before moving to London in 1948 to continue her ballet training with Marie Rambert and perform as a chorus girl in West End musical theatre productions.

Where are the majority of Muslims protesting against Muzzie jihadis doing jihad against the infidel? You’ll never see any because the majority of them support this core tenant of Islam.

Sorry, I don't know who this young singer is or was.

I listen only to opera and one of the Mexican stations. So I hear only arias/songs in Italian, German, SOME French and...Spanish.

Lol. Most of the composers of this earth were men and MOST of the songs/arias were love songs:
a. I love her.
b. I love her. Why doesn't she love me?
c. I love her but she loves another.
d. I love you; I'm sorry; please come back.

Have I missed a theme?

I have YET to hear songs about homosexual love and the a-d themes. Have you?

Instead of cheap lip service and slogans such as “We are all Moroccans now”, why don’t the anti-whites really put their money, so to speak, where their mouths are, and remake the Netherlands into Morocco? Since the “lightly-tinted” miss their homeland and culture so much, and the Dutch people want to make them feel at home, why not implement sharia as rhe law of the land (complete with stoning and beheading of sodomites), requirement to wear burqa (or whichever form the Moroccan women wear), and requirement of prayer 5 times a day facing Mecca? They’re getting off lightly with their stupid tee shirts and slogans, they need to show some sincerity and put some muscle behind their cheap words. After all, the Moroccans came the Netherlands because they loved their homeland so much, they wanted to share their culture with them. Until the Dutch are ready to accept that, they’re just mouthing slogans which cost them nothing but make them feel all morally superior inside.

The point of my post is to make it extremely clear that Geert Wilders does not think that, and he would not be in league with ANYONE who holds that position.

If one supports Geert Wilders, then that means they also support his clearly stated position on the matter — which he stands by in running for office in the Netherlands and which he beings over to the USA in speaking over here.

This is pretty much what I think every time I see a “co-exist” bumper sticker or similar b.s.

The Dutch had a film-maker, Theo Van Gogh, assassinated a few years ago, for ideological/religious reasons. If I lived there I would be darn grateful for someone like Wilders, in spite of his shortcomings.

I tried to summarize it in Post #9. I have followed him extensively and I do back him 100% and I have examined his writings and read his book he wrote for the USA.

He strikes out against the Koran and also the terrorists who use that for an ideology and application that Wilders does not think applies to the majority of Muslims in the West.

There are Muslim groups who do speak out against these terrorists and also protest against them ... here in the USA ... but groups like CAIR try to suppress these Muslims and threaten them and work against them.

These Muslims that Geert Wilders says are peaceful and law-abiding are also threaten by the terrorists (they terrorize their own people, too) and thus, many of them fear for their lives and being caught in the terrorists’ cross-hairs. That’s a real concern for them, since they absolutely know these terrorists are murderers!

What the jihadi terrorists are doing is per the Koran and the Hadiths. They are considered the good Muslims. Muslims can also quietly support Islam and jihad by giving monetary support. There is a name for it but I forget what it is called. This is allowed per the Koran and Hadiths if you aren’t the kind of individual that wants to participate in a physical sense. Just because you don’t see Muzzies physically involved does not mean they are peace-loving.

If these truly peace-loving Muslims were truly peace-loving they would have nothing to do with with Islam.

It’s not the Islam of the terrorists, but there are still those many Muslims (in the West) who are like Geert Wilders says - peaceful, and law-abiding, and don’t think that portions of their scriptures NO LONGER APPLIES TO THEM — exactly the same way that many Christians maintain that much of the Bible NO LONGER APPLIES TO THEM TODAY — in terms of the stoning, and killing every last man, woman and child, and many of the other things that are noted in the Bible.

There are Christians today - and you know this to be true - that no longer believe the prohibitions against homosexuality either.

On top of that, there are many Christians who do not believe the Bible when it says that the heavens and the earth were created in six days.

There are many Christians who do not believe that the first man and woman were in the Garden of Eden and that the woman was created from the rib of Adam.

There are many Christians who do not believe that there was a worldwide flood in which only 8 people survived in the entire world and that the entire surface of the globe was covered by water.

There are many Christians who do not believe that the earth and the heavens are merely 10,000 years old or less and that people loved to be hundreds of years old, as stated in the Bible.

I could go on and on ... but I think you get the idea ... :-) ...

Note ... Christians don’t follow the Bible and carry out the practices which were commanded - even though some of them agree that the Bible is 100% inerrant and is totally infallible.

The same thing applies to that majority of Muslims that Geert Wilders is talking about.

I disagree with him. I would say that a minimum 10% disagree with possibly up to a maximum of 20% which is the majority.

I am going to make this very clear to you.

Jihad is THE core tenant of Islam. You get rid of jihad you get rid of Islam. It’s like taking the struggle out of the various forms of collectivism.

In order to be a good Muslim you have to support that one core tenant. You can do this one of two ways. Either physically or by supporting it with money or other means.

The majority of Muslims support this core tenant.

Study Islam and its adherents and you’ll understand.

I’m a Christian and yet I don’t have anything to do with stoning adulterers, or stoning homosexuals, or putting the rod to the child or killing the child who goes against his parents or speaks wickedly against them.

I’m a Christian and yet I won’t reject the Bible or what God said about those things or reject Christianity - and I fully support Christianity.

On the surface it looks like it. Ever heard of taqqiya? If you study Islam you will see that it is unethical, pagan monotheism brought to you by Mohammed and his demonic entity that he talked to in a cave. It is completely at odds with Judaism and Christianity because it takes the Torah and turns it upside down on its head.

Islam is the antithesis of Torah, Judaism, Christianity and everything we understand as being right, correct, good, and Godly.

I’ve studied quite a bit with the rabbis.

“To the Last Gasp, I Will Always Let My Voice Be Heard”

Geert Wilders, the leader of the Party for Freedom in the Netherlands, gave an historic speech on March 22, 2014.

He spoke out spontaneously, without a prepared text, before answering media questions. His remarks were prompted by the recent controversy over an incident when his supporters chanted a call for “fewer Moroccans”.

-There is a video of his speech at the link-

I understand Taqiyya and the doctrine of Abrogation that the terrorists use. Geert Wilders knows this “inside and out” - I understand it and many others understand it. And yet, they know where it applies and where it doesn’t.

But, as I said, there is a large segment and majority of Muslims who don’t abide by those things and are, just as Geert Wilders says, peaceful and law-abiding.

BY THE WAY ... as a side note, I should also make it clear that I believe that all Christians are liars, too. The Bible says we’re all guilty of that.

In fact, I can safely say that ALL THE POSTERS on this forum are liars. That’s what the Bible tells us and I do believe what God said about that, 100%.

Break the authority of the word “racist” and these savages are on the next boat home with a white liberal under each arm. And that is that.
