When I took her in my hands she extended her paws and hugged me to her and purred.

Awww... That is so cute.

When we were kids, my relatives had a cat/kitten who loved to be held. It would hug us and purr for long periods of time. It turned out that the cat was very ill. Probably wanted to be comforted. But it was so lovable.

1 She got cancer

2 Her dog is 14

3 Fee is $5

4 OK, she didn’t show up

I think jailing her is a bit “excessive”. I think the Constitution had something to say about that.

I’m sure my aunt who lives nearby this area is appalled.

Disgusting. Another good reason NOT to license your dog.

God forbid you don’t renew. They have your number. What happens when your dog dies? They don’t believe you? Need a death cert from the vet?

That’s nice.

Never have had a license. And I do German Shepherds. The hell with them.

There is no OTOH. an arrest over a dog license - If I were a taxpayer in this benighted community, I would start a recall for each and every one who was involved in this expensive and stupid beyond words effort.
