LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan won't recognize more than 300 same-sex marriages performed last weekend before a court halted a decision that opened the door to gay nuptials, Gov. Rick Snyder said Wednesday.
The announcement came a day after an appeals court indefinitely stopped any additional same-sex marriages. It will likely take months for the court to make its own judgment about whether a Michigan constitutional amendment that says marriage only is between a man and a woman violates the U.S. Constitution.
U.S. District Judge Bernard Friedman struck down the gay marriage ban Friday.
Four counties took the extraordinary step of granting licenses Saturday before the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ordered a temporary halt. The stay was extended indefinitely on Tuesday.

I agree and I live in Michigan. These clerks need to prosecuted and the elaborate salary and benefits eliminated. Here in the UP a county clerk was making in excess of 100,000.00 with the benefits. the lady believes she was exempt from everything but her son murdered someone in the oil fields in North Dakota. This past July she had to give up here job and than she posted bond for her son with her 260,000.00 home than the brat of kid ran and was finally arrested in Vilas County (WI) in November.
Instead of judges deciding a case by merely stating that the incident in question was either constitutional or unconstituitonal, judges should be required to officially and publicly substantiate their decision by citing specific constitutional clauses which they believe make the incident constitutional or unconstitutional.
Otherwise, as a consequence of parents not making sure that their children are being taught about the federal government's constitutionally limited powers and how constitutional rights work, activist justices are getting away with Constitution-ignoring PC decisions simply by deciding constitutional or unconstitutional with no further explanation.

Ultimately, this matter will be decided based on the Constitution of the United States of Anthony Kennedy.
Additional, standard state documents had to be improperly, illegally altered to force this impossiblity. Remember when even if courts ruled against normality, they’d allow ample time for trampled states to get ready for and implement the change with valid, reprinted forms? Now, it’s do-it-yourself anarchy.
The fact is that any arrangement for probate, insurance, medical agency, etc., may all be procured through legal contract, and without redefining marriage. These reprobates understand their real civil rights full well, and know they need not claim marriage “inequality” to obtain any genuine right. Theirs is a wholly different agenda - and “marriage equality” is not the truth of what they seek ... For they may marry any one they choose, provided the individual be of the opposite sex.

Marriage “Inequality” – A Pretense for Tyranny
Once again, an activist federal judge has perverted justice, using the pretense of an imagined inequality, so to assault marriage; but could there ever be equality between what is sacred, fruitful, the foundation of human society – and that which is depraved, sterile and intrinsically violent to human nature? Homosexual practice is fundamentally opposed to life, thus the homosexual can increase his number only through seduction, which is why their propaganda targets the young. Several state legislatures amended their constitution so to protect traditional marriage. However, by overruling the will of several state electorates, a politicized federal judiciary, indifferent to the meaning of justice, poses a direct threat to the moral character of this Republic. A judiciary that impudently treads upon millennia-old precepts, and circumvents the moral will, championing debauchery and redefining marriage to grant extraordinary rights to sodomites, subverts the family and our nation. We have a dictatorial central government, neither federal nor republican in nature. That to which oligarchs command we give our assent is vile, and hostile to the Natural Law.
The notion that homosexual acts equate to the procreative union of husband and wife, living under the sacred bond of marriage, is insanity. Marriage, ordained by God, is unique by its procreative capacity and the distinct but complimentary benefits provided the child through father and mother. By its efficacy, bloodlines are established – a genetic heritage, whose connections represent the bonds of human society: parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. Homosexual unions provide no such continuum; rather they create a genetic disconnect – they are intrinsically and socially sterile. Such false unions beget a nation devoid of the bonds created by genuine families, and thus a nation without identity.
Homosexuality is the result of a choice, not an immutable trait – there is no “gay gene.” Published studies, even those conducted by homosexuals, could not prove the case. In research on identical twins, the correlation never exceeded 11 percent; but, if such a gene existed, individuals with identical DNA would share the same sexual identity. This is the fatal flaw of “gay gene” theory; and, even if such genetic pre-disposition existed, a “gay gene” could not sustain itself in the population – for by its function it would become extinct. Two possibilities explain homosexual attraction: sexual abuse at an early age; or self-loathing.
Homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered to man’s nature. Why would any man desire to place his penis in the feces-laden colon of another man, performing an act of masturbatory friction? It is a metaphysical dead end which produces nothing. What does the sodomite achieve by committing an act so malicious to life? It is the psychological high derived from a belief that, by such action, he takes to himself those qualities of his partner’s personality which he lacks. This is the pathological character of self-loathing.
The notion that one may achieve his ideal self by absorbing the personality of another human through sexual coupling is the essential nature of homosexual behavior. This is why the homosexual appetite and all other forms of sexual deviancy are insatiable. The ego can never believe it has obtained what it unjustly desires; and so the deviant endlessly exploits others to acquire what he can never possess. The need to fill a perceived emptiness compels homosexuals to promiscuity, even while they pretend committed relationships are possible. Unlike the sacrificial nature of agape love, homosexual “love” is superficial, and thus their argument for “marriage equality” is dishonest. Claims of discrimination are a fallacy, because, as a group, homosexuals tend to be successful and wealthy. Their supposed victimhood is a product of their own behavior.
In what acts do homosexuals engage besides anal sodomy? The sodomite would rather we not discuss them, but they include: “anal fisting” (self explanatory) “scat play” – the wearing and eating of human feces; “gerbiling” - the enticing a gerbil, or similar creature, to enter the rectum; sadomasochism – the humiliation and physical torture of a partner; and, masturbation while self asphyxiating – literally hanging oneself at the moment of orgasm. Compared with the general population, homosexuals have higher frequencies of domestic violence, sexual assault, drug abuse, and suicide. Add into this mix: all the various bacterial and viral infections they communicate among themselves; the illnesses contracted through repeated infections, which result in a compromised immune system; and, the inhalation of “poppers” - a nitrate muscle relaxant, prevalent in gay clubs - the habitual use of which destroys heart tissue and degrades immune response.
The homosexual “lifestyle” is violent, destructive, a danger to public health, and anything but “gay.” However, these individuals demand we celebrate and propagate their behavior upon our children. “Gay” is a term militants use to indicate “pride” in what is destructive to physical and psychological well-being; and yet these behaviors we are told to accept as “normal.”
Contrary to the opinions of black-robed gods, the push to redefine marriage has nothing to do with “equality,” but everything to do with transforming human society and cultural institutions, so to reflect and promote homosexual lust. In this brave new world the sexual deviant never need face the truth of his behavior. Under this paradigm the age of consent will be lowered and abolished; because homosexuals can increase their number only through seduction – and there is no better target than the inexperienced teen or innocent child. That is the agenda of the “gay rights” movement. To allow this agenda an unopposed path is not an act of tolerance, nor is it charitable to the person burdened by same-sex attraction; for it is indifference, not hate, that is the true opposite of love – and it is indifference that the “gay” advocacy demands of us.
Sharia law is coming to MI, and Sharia law does not (as I understand) recognize sam-sex “marriages.”
Of course the apostates who are still calling themselves “Christian” will be more accomodating.
