It's starting. The brave students and people of Venezuela are starting to fight back against the socialist CUBAN-run dictatorship in Venezuela. The brave people there need support. In the meantime, the United States sits on it's hands SHAMEFULLY doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!
SEE THE ON THE SCENE VIDEO....... HERE!
Where is Sean Penn?
Nothing in the news about this?
We are supposed to be in Egypt, Syria, Libya, Ukraine, Crimea, and now Venezuela.
We don’t produce enough kids that will be able to die in all these hot spots.
Obama will not help Venezuela. That said, he will bloviate to them.
NO!!! The American news organizations are WITH the socialist government and don’t want to put reporters on the scene to witness the revolt that is going on there right now.
Yep, Venezuela will get the Iran uprising treatment.
Time for Obama to send in the Marines, ...on the side of the government.
My friend. You have it all wrong. We DONT want to send American troops there. That would be TOTALLY counter-productive and would give the enemy more fuel. But, we do want to provide leadership to the OAS to sanction Venezuela, and also provide ANY support necessary to topple that government short of sending in troops.
The media doesn't want to put ideas in our heads.
Unfortunately our current government can’t be counted on to do the right thing.
Why we should never give up or register our weapons
At no point in history has any government ever wanted its people to be defenseless for any good reason

It’s not a good idea to stand up in the street shooting a gun. I wanted to shove those guys down so they wouldn’t be a standing target to get killed. You never know where a bullet may come from.
Well, the current government will not do that either.
Which is my point.
Only if it is a weekend with advance notice. People have jobs ya know.
Obama will probably send the Marines to help his commie buddies.
You beat me to it.
I'm ashamed of my country in so many ways...
I’ll clue you in. Standing on a hard surface, provided there is no cover available, is better than going prone. Shooting “short” in front of the target enables ricochets to impact it, accomplishing the intended goal.
Yep. Skipshots on pavement work very well with buckshot.
GO TO THE “12:39” MARK ON THE TAPE and you will see how the regime has already lost the population. The CUBANS better be prepared to pack up and GO QUICKLY!
It would be a lot different if they had guns.
Cubans, Russians, Iranians
Oh, I saw this on CNN. *snicker*
Nice background music in the vid.
A Bridge to Far?
Collecting water samples.
to = too
Wrist-rockets are devastating in these types of encounters.
what many fail to realize is that Mexico could easily fall into this same situation, and in many ways, is already there. I’m more concerned about a full out war at our border than elsewhere around the world.
I’m certain that our president will promptly turn his back on them.
Maybe Russia and Iran, favoring the Venezuelan commie government, will send masked troops to clean up those protestors.
What Russia did has raised a stink that is rising over its old communist buddies.
About time that students became studious of the right stuff.
I believe “the consent of the governed” has been withdrawn.
A lot of good throwing arms there!
Imprisoned Venezuelan Opposition Leaders letter to His Holiness Pope Francisco
[S]pare no efforts to promote national reconciliation through mutual forgiveness and sincere dialogue, respect for truth and justice, able to address specific issues for the common good.- Pope Francisco on situation in Venezuela, February 26, 2014
I have taken the audacity to write these lines because I am convinced, as millions in Venezuela , that your voice , your guidance and your blessing to our people at this time can make a profound impact on the next destination of our country.- Leopoldo López Mendoza, letter dated February 17, 014
Caracas, February 17, 2014
With deep admiration and full of humility, I ask your blessings to the people of Venezuela in moments of profound difficulty for all Venezuelans hit by the most severe economic crisis, by insecurity accompanied by unleashed impunity and the loss increasingly accelerated of our freedoms for all Venezuelans, especially those of us who have contrary thoughts to those who govern today.
I am writing this letter from the underground and within a few hours of appearing before the manipulated justice of my country, which has issued an arrest warrant attributing against me the crimes of murder and terrorism, for the simple fact of having called our people to exercise our right to protest as it is protected in our Constitution and the fundamental rights of free men. This situation of persecution and criminalization of protest has affected hundreds of youth who have been detained, tortured and subjected to unfounded processes that seek to plant fear and limit the voice of millions of Venezuelans who promote change.
I have taken the audacity to write these lines because I am convinced, as millions are in Venezuela , that your voice , your guidance and your blessing to our people at this time can make a profound impact on the next destination of our country.
A few years ago I had the opportunity to talk with the Polish leader Lech Walesa, who I asked what was the most decisive event in his years long struggle that culminated with the fall of communism, his response was immediate and very precise: The visit and the message of John Paul II to Poland.
I understand that the historical circumstances are very different , but like the twilight years of communism in Europe, now in Venezuela we are living in times of deep despair and hopelessness, a word, a sentence, a message from you Im sure could make a significant impact, the encounter of our people with peace, liberty and democracy.
Chances are when you read this letter I will already be jailed on the orders of Nicolas Maduro; a situation that I m willing to take on if in something it contributes to awaken our people on the need to together make a change.
With the mere fact that you read these lines and keep a place in your heart for the Venezuelan people will give us immense strength to move forward, guided by the teachings of Christ our Lord.

Standing Up to the Commie Thugs In Venezuela
by John HinderakerMarch 29, 2014
In Venezuela, a popular uprising threatens to sweep Nicolas Maduro, the heir to Hugo Chavez, from power, along with his brutal, corrupt, viciously anti-American socialist regime. The magnitude of anti-Maduro demonstrations in Venezuela has not been adequately or consistently reported in the American press. Millions have taken part. To take just one example, this aerial photograph of an anti-government demonstration in Chacao last week, conveys some sense of the magnitude of the pro-freedom movement. Click to enlarge file size:
Lately, a social media campaign has sprung up, in which Venezuelan celebrities pose for photos that dramatize the virtual slavery in which the people of Venezuela have been held for so long. Over the years, I have noted that Latin American beauty queens have tended to be politically sophisticated, and I am happy to see that Miss Universe 2009, Stefania Fernandez, is participating in this campaign:
When Miss Fernandez won the Miss Universe title in 2009, she was the second consecutive winner from Venezuela. I liked her predecessor Dayana Mendoza, who was a strong critic of Hugo Chavez and an unabashed fan of the American soldiers at Guantanamo Bay. It now appears that Stefania Fernandez, too, is a lover of freedom and independence. Kudos to her, and a parting photo from our coverage of the 2009 Miss Universe pageant
