Former IRS official Lois Lerner will be held in contempt of Congress "in the very near future," Rep. Trey Gowdy told Fox News on Wednesday.
The South Carolina Republican sits on the House Oversight and Reform Committee, and told "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" that he wants to see an end to the delay in providing subpoenaed emails from Lerner over the targeting of conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status.
IRS Chief John Koskinen was grilled Wednesday by the committee over his agency's failure to produce the emails. Koskinen said it could take years to comply with the committee's request.
"All we want are the emails to or from Lois Lerner. I'm not talking about private taxpayer information," Gowdy told Van Susteren.
"Just emails like the one she sent celebrating a Democrat victory in a special election, calling on the FEC to save the day – overtly political, nothing to do with her job. We'll just settle for those," Gowdy added.

Won’t amount to a hill of beans unfortunately.
The people holding the IRS hearings are beginning to remind me of Obama. A lot of promises, and a lot of bluster, but no delivery.
Lower level apparatchiks are crucified on a daily basis, but degenerates like Lerner and Sandy Berger always seem to skate.
IRS needs to go, replace it with some other less maniacal bureaucracy with extremely limited powers.

Wake me when there are any consequences associated with the criminal behaviorS of anyone in this administration.
That went away when Kennedy allowed public employees to unionize and when government “workers” became de facto employees of the DNC.

And is Gowdy subject to the spinelessness of Issa or can he move forward with contempt charges unilaterally? I want Lerner held in a friggin’ cell until Gowdy and Issa are both that they’ve gotten all relevant correspondence. Then I want her in a cell for her crimes.
Is it too much to ask that our side actually make the other side play by the rules for once???
Well, people screamed loudly and often that ‘lesser evils’ were acceptable. And now that YET MORE the consequences of electing lesser evils becomes apparent, (IE an opposition party that prefers ignoring/attacking it’s own base rather than opposing, or in this case prosecuting), people should not be shocked that they get what they asked for.
Sucks for America but it is what it is.

In other words, Issa already has had much of the emails leaked to the committee and is in possession of enough damaging e mails to prove a cover up and for obstruction of justice counts against various guilty parties and they are just letting the IRS dig themselves a deeper and more damaging cover up hole.
We must keep REAL,,Hope...alive!
I sure hope that’s what Issa is up to.
