"Free Justina!" Why Did Massachusetts Take This Sick Girl From Her Parents In The First Place?
Boston Herald ^ | Graham | Michael

Posted on 03/27/2014 3:30:19 AM PDT by suspects

At the center of the seemingly incomprehensible case of Justina Pelletier lies one very simple, and unanswered, question:

What did her mom and dad do to lose custody of their daughter in the first place?

Gallons of ink have been poured on this story since last November, when a Connecticut TV station first reported the story of a sick teenager ripped from her family over a medical dispute between two hospitals. But having read every report on the case, including Judge Joseph Johnston’s ruling Tuesday, I can’t find a single claim — substantiated or otherwise — of bad behavior by Lou and Linda Pelletier before their daughter was taken from them.

Not one.

Defenders of the Department of Children and Families and Boston Children’s Hospital insist there must be something — SOMETHING — to justify the nightmare Massachusetts has inflicted on this family. A teenage girl who was relatively healthy, able to ice skate with friends while under Tufts Medical Center care is now almost immobile in a wheelchair, after more than a year of virtual isolation at a Children’s Hospital psych ward.

There’s got to be a good reason — GOTTA be — for DCF keeping this girl isolated from her family, allowing them to visit for just one hour a week — always under the watchful eye of DCF agents and guards. A reason for not allowing her to attend school, or to attend church on Christmas or Easter.

We treat the accused Boston Marathon bomber better than this, for cryin’ out loud. So there must be a rational defense for what amounts to the abuse of a poor, sick girl.

Whatever that reason is, alas, it doesn’t appear in the public record. And this is a problem. Because the state of Massachusetts has taken a child...

Doesn’t having 3 challengers diminish the chances that Tierney loses the rat primary? Only 1 of them, Seth Moulton, has much $$$$$$, he’s not far behind Tierney.

How about this story with this girl? I just heard about it. Very strange. Sounds like they think she has some kind of psychiatric disorder that is causing her pain symptoms and the parents rejected this diagnosis and refused the proscribed treatment (which doesn’t appear to be working very well), so they accused them of “medical child abuse” and took custody. Very strange.

I’m wondering if they made the assumption Mom had that syndrome where a parent will seek attention by intentionally making their children sick.
They probably assumed this is what happened with the older daughter - and they gambled with their theory.
Normally - the health of a child will improve once removed from the parent - IF they guess right.
But that isn’t happening.
It appears they are afraid to admit they made the wrong bet on this one.

Argh, you’re right. I forgot there’s no runoff. Just as bad as Tennessee. I see the creep Tisei boycotted the GOP convention (where some shenanigans kept Mark Fisher from his 15% to get on the ballot) because of the (gasp !) “Conservative platform.” Dick needs to go run against Tierney in the Democrat primary where he belongs.

Munchhausen by proxy is what you are referring to

And I have run into good doctors and I have run into assholes who think they are smarter than everybody. It looks like that is what the “doctor” at Massachusetts is.

Gay Tisei vs. RATS:

The more I think about it, I hate the RATS more than I hate fags. Tisei is one more vote to keep Pelosi out of the Speaker’s chair; that’s about all she’s worth, but RATS CANNOT have access to power. They have to be kept out at all costs.

“How about this story with this girl?”

Very good read, indeed. So good, in fact, that it is identical to the article that started this thread. : )

Trojan Horses in the GOP are worse than any open Democrats, why Tisei MUST be defeated. Adding to that, the guy has a “gay marriage” and hence comes in with a destructive, radical agenda to shove down our throats. He’ll only be there to maximize damage and cause division in the ranks.
Tierney, on the other hand, is just another rodent crook. So you tell me which one is worse for the GOP ?

“So you tell me which one is worse for the GOP ?”

As I said before, every vote to keep Pelosi out of the Speaker’s chair is critical. Everything else happens (or doesn’t) from there.

Realistically, if she gets elected, she’ll serve 1 MAYBE 2 terms and get bounced.

Hey, I’m not pro-fag; I think that’s pretty obvious. But again, I hate RATS more than fags. Like Herpes is probably “better” than HIV.

I don’t vote in that CD, so it’s a moot point for me (or pretty much everyone else pinged here).

OTOH, “supporting” unknowns with less than zero chance of winning is the MO of certain “legendary” FReeper(s) - it’s an idiotic “strategy” at best.

He is a RAT, that’s the whole point. A RAT dressed up as an elephant is still a RAT, but a helluva lot more dangerous and destructive (look at McCain, Willard, Weld, et al).

You REALLY think a junior member FROM MA is going to amount to squat in a GOP-led House? Like the “good ole boys” are going to let a fag have any position or committee remotely “powerful”. C’mon.

She’s a vote against Pelosi. If she did nothing else than that (and I wouldn’t expect anything), she did her job.

I don’t think that having Tisei in the GOP caucus will change the conservative nature of the caucus—do you really think a Republican congressman from OK or NC will start voting pro-abortion or for the gay agenda because of some fruit from Massachusetts?

But given how ridiculously liberal Tisei is, he’s not going to provide much help—he almost never will vote with conservatives on close votes, or on votes that require a supermajority. So my question is: what’s the best way to elect a moderate-to-conservative congressman in MA-06? (We’re not going to elect a Ted Cruz there, so let’s be realistic; but there’s no reason why we can’t elect a Peter Blute type or a pro-life Scott Brown.)

Assuming that Tierney survives against divided opposition in the Dem primary (which I believe is the likeliest result), the three possibilities are: (i) Tierney gets reelected and then a moderate-to-conservative Republican beats him in the 2016 or 2018 general, (ii) Tierney gets reelected, but either retires or is defeated for renomination in 2016 or 2018, and then a moderate-to-conservative Republican beats the new Democrat nominee in the 2016 or 2018 general, or (iii) Tisei beats Tierney, draws desultory Democrat opposition in 2016 or 2018, a moderate-to-conservative primary challenger beats Tisei in the primary, and then wins the general against the weak Democrat. I’m not sure which of those three scenarios is likelier to yield the result we’re seeking. Thus, I will not exert any effort either to elect or defeat Tisei in the general election.

Yes, because he is symbolic. A Trojan Horse radical in a fake marriage. The media will have a field day. He needs to be kept OUT.

As I just told GOPster privately, I would vote for the criminal Tierney 1000x before I’d vote for Tisei once. My gut feelings on Trojan Horses like this are never wrong. This guy is REALLY bad news. He was more than half the reason why the GOP Gov/Lt Gov ticket needed to be defeated in 2010. Tierney is just another crook, sauce for the goose in a criminal party.

As soon as they get her, it’s time to move out of state!

They are not residents of Massachusetts. The family is from Connecticut. The girl was being treated at Tufts Medical Center but when she got the flu Tufts recommended that she go to Children's Hospital. She was at Childrens for less than a day when the young MD decided she was not sick and the Parents (not Tufts???) had been over-treating her.

BTW there have been 5 other recent cases in which Children's Hospital and the state have taken custody away from parents. ALL have been from out of state!!

Slow-motion really gives an appreciation of the awesomeness of that fine piece of craftsmanship.

The Germans made some fine things... too bad they used them for nefarious purposes.

Somewhere on YouTube there’s an old WWII training video that shows the slow chug-chug of our standard M1919 air cooled MGs versus the buzz-saw staccato blast of the MG42. The narrator says something like “Man, that thing throws a lotta lead!”

But with upwards of 1500 rounds per minute cyclic rate, yeah, you’d expect the thing to sound like a buzz saw.

A testament to the design brilliance of the MG42 is the fact that the German Army still uses it - it’s now re-chambered in our venerable NATO 7.62x51mm caliber, and they simply re-designated it as the MG3.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rheinmetall_MG3

And on another note - take a look at the physical resemblance of our Vietnam-era M60 to the MG42... no secret where THAT idea came from, huh?
See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M60_machine_gun
About halfway down the page.

Great minds...

It’s money the RATS have to spend for a competitive race and again, another vote that Pelosi won’t get for the Speakership.

Whatever. Like I said, it’s not my CD. My relatives in that CD voted for her the last time and will vote for her again.
