Maybe the 'uninsured' want to stay 'uninsured': Why did we pass this law again?

The Obama administration just changed the ACA again, as reported by Fox News:

"The Obama administration will grant extra time to Americans who say they are unable to enroll in health care plans through the federal insurance marketplace by the March 31 deadline, in a decision that swiftly drew Republican ridicule.

All consumers who have begun to apply for coverage on HealthCare.gov, but who do not finish by Monday, will now have until about mid-April to ask for an extension."

Will it matter?  Probably not!

The ACA has a bigger problem than "computer glitches" or "high deductibles,"

In other words, the uninsured are not rushing to get insured.  Wasn't getting the "uninsured" insured one of the big reasons for passing this law?

The biggest news is that "the uninsured" are OK with it. Again, how do you explain this Kaiser Poll via TIME?   Please read:

"The Kaiser poll, conducted March 11-17, also found that 50% of uninsured adults plan to remain without health coverage, despite the law’s new exchanges and federal subsidies to reduce the cost of premiums.

Two-thirds of the uninsured are aware Americans must have insurance or pay fines, while just 57% realize the law provides the subsidies, according to the poll."

Translation:  Some people in the US just don't care!  Sorry for being harsh but we've been bombarded by ObamaCare ads, speeches and news coverage.

“We” didn’t pass this law. Our non-representatives did.

If the law stays intact, once completed we will have the same or almost the same number of uninsured as we had before this crap came down.
We destroyed the best (No not perfect) healthcare system in the world for THIS?

Think barrios, ghettos, illegal aliens, poor white people...... Want nothing to do with THE MAN because they are involved in petty illegal activities. They prefer living off the grid. They want no contact with the LAW and no contact with anything GOVERNMINT.

So why would they waste good money on 0Care

Yes, some people are indeed victims of bad policies or unfortunate employment terminations. However, it looks like many are just "uninsured" and OK with it.

Sorry, comrade. In Obamanation, Dear Leader decides what you're OK with.

I would say this....if we come to July and rates for 1 January 2015 are going up by twenty-five percent...you will see another ten percent of the folks who have health insurance...quit.

To wake up in time for the Presidential primary....grasping that even more people now....don’t have insurance than in the summer of 2008...it’ll really tear up the guts of the whole primary season. It’ll all be a joke, and no one...including journalists....will be able to spin this without it being a failure with independent voters.

I'll wager that the group of people who "want no contact with the LAW and no contact with anything GOVERNMINT" extends beyond "barrios, ghettos, illegal aliens, [and] poor white people."

The government is as legitimate (and real) as the mafia, and I'll follow orders from the mafia too, on account of both entites use physical violence to impose their will.

I thought they wanted the insured to become uninsured. Our lousy policy, the best we could afford, 12K a year, was ended. The cheapest policy offered by the same company is somewhat better but costs 24K a year.

"Why did we pass this law again?"

It was never about health care. It is about power and control and assuring permanent dependency on a Rat run government.

I’m ok with uninsured people, just don’t pad my bills to make up for the treatment they get that they can’t pay for.

We only need a two line law:

1) Health providers do not have to provide treatment to those with no means to pay.

2) If they decide to treat them anyway, they are not allowed to spread un-reoverable costs to the rest of us.

Man next door just lost his job. Every penny he has is to go to rent, food and lights. He signed up, but simply can’t afford the premiums. Affordable my A$$....Government...heal thyself.

Isn’t this the abomination which was “deemed passed”?

Not even voted on?

Why pay when you can still get it for free? Obamacare delivers zero medical care.

They know eventually it will be free.

That’s how it works, get it in place first, then after awhile make it so certain people don’t have to pay for it when enough people whine about it.

If it’s not free, no one wants it.

Yes ... the problem with many of the uninsured is the inability to pay for it, thus they have chosen to remain uninsured.

Barrios, ghettos and especially people who play and use the system love free everything. This is the Democrat base outside of government employees.

RE: Yes ... the problem with many of the uninsured is the inability to pay for it, thus they have chosen to remain uninsured.

And the ACA says that you CAN get insurance ANYTIME you want up to and including when you really get sick.

So, what’s the rush?
