Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the former White House chief of staff, told CNBC on Thursday he gave President Barack Obama a "contrary opinion" on the early stages of the Affordable Care Act, which debuted with a glitch-ridden website and troubled exchanges.

I agree and wrote earlier that Dems will step to the mike and “defy” Obama. Obama would overturn it himself if he was running....and figure out how to get your money another way....like raising double the Medicare fee taken out of your paycheck.

Why would anyone call him the Godfather?

I could see calling him something more appropriate like bathhouse Raum, ballerina boy or dead fish. The word god should not be anywhere near that fag.

Pressed on whether he thought the White House should have listened to his more incremental approach for health-care reform, Emanuel praised the president for seeking out opposing views as they hammered out what would later become known as Obamacare.

As a freeper wisely posted.....they turned up the heat too fast and the frogs are jumping out of the pot. I bet Valerie said to go full bore and shove this down our throats rather than Rahm's plan for us to not figure out what happened until it was too late.

Yeah. Six Dems looking at the mess five are closing their eyes and pretending it’s gold. The sixth says, “Uh, that’s dog poop.” Of course, it was his dog.

If Hillary doesn't run, I expect the Clintons to try to anoint The Godfather. They may run headlong into the Obama machine - a very entertaining prospect.

Emanuel was 100% on board with Obama care, but he cautioned against the strategy of pushing it through all at once. He preferred the incremental approach (the frog in warming water idea).

A case could be made that Godfather was right, because 1) by forcing it through on bi-partisan lines, it assured that at least 50% of the population would be against it from the get go and 2) the bungled implementation has guaranteed public sentiment will be against ANY large scale government program for at least the near future.

Yeah, the incremental approach would have been more palatable to the American public, sorta like that frog in the pot boiling so slowly he doesn't notice that he is being cooked to death.

But, the all powerful Obama felt as though he had the mojo to make it all happen fast and darn-it-all, the American public caught on.

We are on to them. Now what do they do?

The rock has been lifted for us to view the dirty underbelly of what the demoncraps really want to do to us.

They want us to exchange our centuries old Liberty for "free" healthcare.

They must think we are real chumps.

Here is an interesting article:

Hospitals Plot the End of Insurance Companies
http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/Articles/2014/03/27/Hospitals-Plot-End-Insurance-Companies

Here in “Godfather's” country, Humana’s Advocate Hospitals are acquiring a bunch of older hospitals. None are top of the line hospitals, (i.e. Northwestern, Rush, University of Chicago). This article helps explain this phenomenon.

It will look for other opportunities to bring premium payments directly into the hospital system, rather than filtering them through insurance companies.

So, they want to cut out the insurance companies so they can grab all that cash for themselves, and then not lower the price of their services.
