"Harry Reid is not accustomed to folding."

The best line in the whole article! And who made him fold?? Certainly not Mitch McConnell, who was right alongside Reid like a happy puppy. It was Ted Cruz and the House conservatives!

On Monday night, 26 Senate Republicans and their Democrat colleagues joined arms to ensure a bill including an aid package for Ukraine cleared a key procedural hurdle. From a conservative policy perspective there was just one problem: the package also contained extremely controversial reforms to the IMF.

And here is the list of the 26 Senate Republicans who rolled over and voted with Reid to keep the IMF provisions in the bill … forcing the House to defeat it on their own …

Alexander (TN); Ayotte (NH); Blunt (MO); Burr (NC); Coats (IN); Collins (ME); Corker (TN); Cornyn (TX); Fischer (NE); Flake (AZ); Graham (SC); Grassley (IA); Hatch (UT); Hoeven (ND); Inhofe (OK); Isakson (GA); Johanns (NE); Johnson (WI); McCain (AZ); McConnell (KY); Murkowski (AK); Portman (OH); Rubio (FL); Thune (SD); Toomey (PA); Vitter (LA)

....many Republicans urged their colleagues to pass the Ukraine package despite the inclusion of this poison pill, warning that the party could not be seen as standing in the way of a bill addressing such a pressing foreign policy need.

Same crap that they pulled with Hurricane Sandy aid - they piggybacked hundreds of millions of dollars onto the bill that had nothing to do with Sandy recovery. Anyone who stood against it was accused of being against aid to those who most need it.

Scumbags all of them they are.
