Get some free range chickens...they eat ticks, and ya have eggs, and Mcnuggets on the “hoof” ;-)
I read Malathion didn’t work on ticks on some forum. Stupid internets. Thanks for pointing that out.
Bad enough when the really small spiders come into my house, let alone see THOSE big ones, at least I can kill the little ones.
Sevin (Carbamate) also works on fleas and ticks - liquid and dust - if you can find it. Malathion is now sold diluted to 5%, but I had a state license to buy 55% concentrate solution.

Spray up the sides of buildings, trees and shrubs; that’s where ticks climb and wait for a “blood meal” to walk by and drop on to them.
When I walked thru my tree growing fields, they dropped out of trees on to my straw hat and by the time I’d get back to my desk, I’d pick 5-10 out of my hair, shirt. Never got bit or stung in 22 yrs, ‘cause I ate so much garlic and onions, they’d never bite with the chemical coming out of my pores. Just crawled around on me. I used Hoppe’s No 9 as an aftershave, anyway. LOL. (Actually, it was Old Spice.) My employees all were bit and stung, but wouldn’t listen to my advice about garlic/onions.
I always said that if someone smelled like garlic and/or onions, they were my friend ‘cause they liked Italian food. If they smelled like Listerine or toothpaste, I didn’t want to know them. Heh.d get back to my desk, I

When I had my pesticides license I would use Lannate (Methomyl) before bloom. That stuff would kill everything and its mother.

I used to give my dog garlic and folks thought I was “weird” (screw em) ;-)
