Passing comprehensive immigration reform is more important than Democrats' success at the polls in November, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday.

A number of Republicans and other conservative voices have accused Pelosi and the Democrats of using the immigration reform issue as a political crutch, suggesting the Democrats would rather keep the issue alive for campaign purposes than actually pass a bill.

But Pelosi on Thursday rejected that notion outright, and she didn't mince words.

"I believe, and I say this with all the sincerity I have, that it is more important to pass comprehensive immigration reform — to me and to my caucus — than to win the election in November," Pelosi said at a Washington gathering of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Obama's done everything he can to suckup to illegals except fellate a latino on the Capitol steps. Obama is hopping like a jack rabbit to enroll illegals at Mexican consulates---healthcare.gov is also a voter registration site---all those illegal enrollees can be plugged into Democrat rolls.

JUST FOR THE RECORD Obama's elevated latinos to the USSC, cabinet positions, admin jobs, absolved illegals of all culpability for falsifying official documents, welfare fraud, EITC fraud, murders, border violations, arms trafficking, drug trafficking. He stopped deportations, gave 'em jobs taken away from Americans, free healthcare, education, financed every other whim w/ tax dollars.

Obama is illegally giving out work permits, refusing to deport most captured illegals and he has illegitimately created a DREAM ACT by fiat. This is a man who has made absolutely clear that he has no intention of enforcing immigration law; so how do you make any kind of deal that relies on his implementing even tougher rules?

Hmmmmmm.....Pelosi, Schumer and Gutierrez are awfully close-mouthed about federal Tax dollars flowing to race-based, blood-thirsty "La Raza." The amnesty bill would gift LaRaza w/ a neverending per annum $100 million to conduct its hate-America activites.

NOTE Violence-filled La Raza was given tax dollars and Congressionsl earmarks to finance its mortgage activities. La Raza's "strategic partnerships” with Wachovia and Bank of America forced the lowering mortgage-application requirements and documentation standards. La Raza aided and abetted risky federal and private-home loans to latinos over the last decade thanks to the lending industry’s version of “don’t ask, don’t tell.” In addition to millions of federal tax dollars, La Raza also collected a $1 million Democratic earmark that funded “community-development” projects. Analysts report that much of it went to "mortgage counseling." (waiting for hysterical laughter to die down).

Republican Sen Charles Grassley tried to assist Americans w/ an amendment to the amnesty bill "Congress should not thumb its nose at the millions of Americans who are victims of identity theft, often perpetrated by an undocumented person who steals Social Security numbers to get jobs, govt benefits, driver's licenses and more. This amendment will simply require the person applying for RPI status to disclose any previously used Social Security numbers," said Grassley. "It's the first step to helping clean up the mess that's been created for the victim of identity theft. The amendment also authorizes certain federal agencies, upon receipt of this information, to notify individuals who were the victims."

SEN SCHUMER CHIMED IN: Dismissing Sen Grassley's proposal, ranking Dem member Sen Schumer (Dimwit-NY) said: "When people are living in undocumented status, there are times, I suppose, when they've made up identities, made up Social Security numbers. How are they going to remember all that? (The) purpose of this bill is to bring people out of the shadows. We all know when they lived in the shadows, they had to forge documents, forge Social Security numbers, et cetera. I just don't see how, when you've lived here 10 years, and you've had many different identities, many different numbers, you're going to remember them all," said Schumer.
