I think that it would be preferable for this P.O.S. president to keep his marxist attention away from any and all of the services and ceremonies for this great American hero. It would only be for photo ops and publicity anyway.I agree, even though it would be fitting of the Office of the President to at least acknowledge the passing of a truly heroic man.
I just hate the thought of that piker from 1600 PA Ave going I..I..Me...Me..I...I...when he and his mentors would have been partying with Hanoi Jane.

May he RIP. Prayers for his family.
Senator Denton truly was a great American. And politically, he established two “firsts” for a U.S. Senator from Alabama: first Republican since Reconstruction, and first (and, so far, only) Catholic.

RIP to a great Senator and man. It’s a great shame that Shelby beat him in ‘86.
Denton was the anti-McCain, a POW who didn’t lose his mind.

If I had known when I was shot down that I would be there more than seven years, I would have died of despondency, of despair, Admiral Denton told Investors Business Daily. But I didnt. It was one minute at a time, one hour, one week, one year and so on. If you look at it like that, anybody can do anything.
RIP, American patriot and hero.

So sorry to hear this. Yet in spite of the horrors he endured as a POW, he still lived a long and rewarding life. RIP, Sir.

Then Captain Denton as SRO was the first prisoner off the plane at Clark in the Philippines. He became further immortalized when he spoke;
“We are honored to have the opportunity to serve our country under difficult circumstances. We are profoundly grateful to our Commander in Chief and to our nation for this day. God bless America.”
