A reporter has been detained by Capitol Hill police for trying to ask a question of Environmental Protection Agency administrator Gina McCarthy.
Bloomberg BNA energy reporter Ari Natter tweeted about being detained.
#transparency RT @AriNatter: I am being detained by Capital Police for trying to ask @EPAGina a question after her remarks. nickjuliano (@nickjuliano) March 28, 2014 Natter was detained while covering the American Council On Renewable Energy conference, where McCarthy spoke. Also speaking at the conference was Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, a staunch supporter of green energy who regularly takes the Senate floor to sound the alarm on global warming.
McCarthy spoke about renewable energy issues, including the EPAs proposal to cut back the amount of ethanol refiners are required to blend into gasoline annually to avoid economic calamity. She also talked about the Obama administrations view that energy and environmental policy go hand in hand.
The energy issues and the environmental issues we are facing today are really two sides of the same coin, she said.
Natter was eventually let go after police checked with their superiors and ran a background check on the reporter, determining he had the proper press credentials.
After consulting with his superiors and running a background check the police have let me go. Time to start building rocket stove mass heaters.
(Very little exhaust, and horizontal, and uses a lot less wood, so the snitches and Watching Eyes will have a harder time catching you.)
This winter wasn't a one-off. If the farmers see that they can get shekels from the government for "growing ethanol corn" into February in Iowa, Minnesota & Michigan, they darn well will do it again in 2014.
The government & the EPA didn't get any on them for this bullsqueeze. Instead, they danced away laughing while the peasants paid 6 bucks a gallon for propane in January.
Oh, and don't forget to pay that extra $200 a month for increased healthcare costs. And the $250 for a new lawnmower, because your engine is trashed.
I agree. The press got this commie elected and commies don’t like probes and questions. The press has been on their knees for BO for years now. They are so stupid that they are just now figuring out how Marxists operate. Serves them right.
Maybe they felt assaulted or impeded. Or felt in fear of their life or something.
Still don’t know the question the reporter was trying to ask...you’d think that would be an important element to this story.
The question may have been along the lines of “Why aren’t you in prison?”
.
- Obama is setting up his royal Muzzie buddies mid-east Islamic oil countries future cash-flow to get an massive endless off-shore retirement fund for himself and his daughters by permanently blocking the use of America’s available and abundant energy assets ..
- It is time for the pathetic pansy Mom-Jeans jerk to put on his sissy helmet to visit Dallas on his girl’s bike -
Yes, but they are mandating that refiners now blend in stem cells, in place of the ethanol.
Will you be wanting a glass of ice water as well ?
: )
Yeah... but aren't they an endangered species anyway ?

I learned about ROCKET STOVES on the internet, and since I had the components, I built one.
It is so awesome. I have collected sticks from the yard to keep as feedstock, should I need to use the rocket stove for cooking or heat.
Add just one more wheel and you could have this...
Revolt is coming.
If I ask an unelected official a question on the street... I hope my Free Republic press credentials are “adequate” enough for the goon squad.
