Ten things you need to know about Turkey
Fox News ^ | March 28, 2014 | Claire Berlinski

Here are ten things you need to know about Turkey.

1. On March 27, the government of Turkey blocked YouTube, less than a week after blacking out Twitter. Ostensibly, this was to prevent the spread of videos that are said to feature the voices of Turkey’s foreign minister, intelligence chief, and a top army general proposing to send the Turkish military into Syria to protect the tomb of Suleiman Shah, the grandfather of the founder of the Ottoman Dynasty.

2. If these tapes are real, Turkey has been considering staging an attack on itself as a pretext to intervene in Syria. Turkey is a member of NATO. Article V of the North Atlantic Treaty establishing the alliance states that members will treat an attack against one member as an attack against all and respond accordingly—up to and including the use of armed force.

...

3. Turkey’s ruling AKP is facing a disaster in Syria. Turkey’s battle with the radical Kurdish-separatist PKK has claimed as many as 40,000 lives since the 1980s.

When Assad pulled his forces away from the border, the PYD (the Syrian analogue to the PKK) assumed control over the Kurdish majority regions, prompting Ankara to attempt to counter them by arming radical Islamist groups and opening its borders to foreign fighters.

...

7. One of the most explosive tapes, published on February 25, features conversation between voices alleged to be those of the prime minister and his son, Bilal. They are heard discussing how best to hide tens of millions of dollars in cash stored in the family home. The prime minister instructs his son to get rid of all the money, preferably after dark. His son says he has moved all but $41.6 million.

Hussein Obama is close pals with the Turkish leader. obama may have convinced his friend to pull the trigger and then he’ll try to get us involved.

Obama said his administration would be transparent. It is in so many ways.

And a NATO country to boot.

Our blood and treasure is sworn to protect them. But we couldn't stage out of their country for the Iraq war.

This is some of the most complicated and unusual intrigue I have ever heard of. Turkey is the pin on the grenade that starts WW III if I read Ezekiel 38 right; and a most unexpected pin-puller just showed up. Just bizarre enough to be true (and significant).

According to Islamic end-times theology taught by both Sunnis and Shiites, the Mahdi (Islam's long awaited messiah) will make a seven year peace treaty with the West, mediated by a Jew from the priestly lineage of Aaron.

Of course, as with other treaties that Muslims make with infidels, the Muslims will break the treaty once they get the upper hand. Thus, I'm pay more attention to the false peace than the current wars and the rumors of wars. If I interpret Ezekiel 38 correctly (assuming there aren't any more wars global enough to be classified as a “world war” between now and the events predicted in Ezekiel 38), WW III will not officially start until the Muslims break the seven-year treaty and initiate an all-out invasion of Israel.

Oh look — the agitprop spreader strikes again. Here’s her other story linked at Fox:

Why You Should Care About Egypt Protests

By Claire Berlinski

Published January 27, 2011

FoxNews.com

U.S. military aid to Egypt totals over $1.3 billion annually. Your money, in other words, is keeping Mubarak in power. That government is now doing this to its people. Listen to the audio. It’s hard to say just what’s happening, given the media blackout, but clearly terrible things are happening in Egypt.

Many of the people now protesting in Egypt want what every American takes as his birthright: democracy, dignity, rule of law, civil rights...

She’s apparently a big fan of Margaret Thatcher, doesn’t like the USSR or Putin, but also seems to have a great big festering hatred of Turkey.

The Morsi regime in Egypt was bought and paid for by Qatar, but aligned with Iran. And just to complicate matters, Erdogan was in favor of Mubarek’s overthrow, Assad was against it, Iran has troops in Syria and was against Morsi’s removal, while Assad clucked about it.

I don’t think she’s some kind of agent of Iran, I just think she’s really got a stick up her ass about Turkey, and it clouds her judgment.

Iran is an ally of Russia, Russia’s historically enemies with Turkey, and still considers Syria its client state. That agitprop about Turkey planning to fake an attack on itself is straight out of Pooty-Poot’s playbook.
