Republican House Speaker John Boehner was in talks to appear at an event next weekend at a Ritz Carlton event hosted by an anti-tea party PAC devoted to fighting conservatives within the GOP.

Boehner was in preliminary talks to join fellow House members at a $5,000-a-head event hosted by The Republican Main Street Partnership PAC before deciding not to appear due to a reputed scheduling conflict. The event will reportedly be attended by $5,000 donors to the PAC, which sells $5,000 tickets to its events on its website.

The event will be hosted at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island in Nassau County, Florida

Please at least let’s not allow him to get 99 percent of the vote. No wonder he feels so infallible.

I think that Senate Majority or Minority Leader should only be able to be in position for 4 years. Heck even the Chair in Universities only have the position for 4 years and then goes back to regular every day professor. I think it should be that way.

ANYBODY who attends this disgusting meeting has just VOTED FOR TYRANNY. While the Tea Party stands for LIBERTY.

God said, “I’ve set before you, blessing and cursing, life and death .. NOW YOU CHOOSE .. but CHOOSE LIFE.

Guess the GOP elites have chosen cursing.

I called both the DC and Butler office of Mike Kelly, (Pa 3), and I got the Sgt Schultz routine. The Republican Main Street people seem actually surprised that constituents know that their Congressmen play at being pro tea party but belong to anti-tea party organizations.

McCarthy is most vile snake of all.
He is a Dem posing as a Republican.
That creep threw the entire Calif Gop state house reps and fellow Congressman Reps by cooking up a back room deal with the Cal Dems to ram thru that disasterous 2010 redistricting plan which literally destroyed the entire Gop state house districts but spared that Vile McCarthy’s seat .
//////////////

Good background. Thank you. I once briefly heard McCarthy on Hugh Hewitt’s show, and I could tell he was not “one of us.”

It seems to me that — since McCarthy is the number three in the RINO House Leadership triumviate — that he usually flies under the radar (and, perhaps, continues to do the most damage) while we rage, vent, and flail against the hapless Boehner and Cantor.

From what you say, McCarthy indeed would appear to be the devil in disguise.
