Ukraine proposed a plan of Confederation

The plan includes the introduction of 5-10 national languages;and national quotas in key government agencies.

This was announced at a press briefing on March 31 Director of Information Policy Minister Predrag Eugen, said Espreso.TV.

In comments on the statements of Russian officials with respect to the federalization of Ukraine Predrag said:

"Recently, the cases when representatives of the Russian Federation, Ukraine can afford to dictate what form of government or administrative- territorial division she should choose which form of political, economic or socio-cultural life of the implement in order to solve the social and political crisis, which ended up Ukrainian state.

In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirms its position that has repeatedly proved in many ways to the Russian side, the fact that such statements by Russian officials of a flagrant and undisguised interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine, which is contrary to the fundamental norms of international law and recognized principles of coexistence states.

Instead, the Russian government should be focusing on filling their own federal government real sense, a return to democratic elections at the regional and local levels to ensure protection of national minorities are suffering because of lack of opportunities to participate fully in the activities of public authorities and decision-making regarding the development of territory, introducing a balanced language policy by providing opportunities to national minorities to learn their native language and receive education in that language.

In the absence of progress in this area, Ukraine could provide the Russian Federation proposals on the improvement and optimization of its government and political system, such as a plan konfederalizatsiyi Russian state with the introduction of 5-10 national languages and national quotas in major organs government that would clearly reflect the interests of all major national and linguistic communities of society. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine believes that such a step will be closer to the Russian Federation to the civilized model of democracy, human rights and respect for minority rights. "

That's nonsensical, the world is getting smaller, not larger. In 20 years, there will likely be fewer than a dozen languages which anybody other than historians speak.

It is already April first in Ukraine.

I hope the plan includes returning to China the land stolen in 1860--on the map it is shown striped. The extreme eastern part of Siberia seems not to be included in the confedration either.

“The extreme eastern part of Siberia seems not to be included in the confedration either.”

It became independent after local Chinese self defense forces arrived and organized democratic referendum.
