EDITORIAL: 20/20 hindsight at World Vision

World Vision, an evangelical Christian charity that does good work the world over, stunned its donors last week with the announcement that henceforth it would employ the parties in a same-sex marriage. Not entirely surprising, two days later the policy was canceled. Call it World Vision’s 20/20 epiphany.

World Vision is perhaps best known for recruiting sponsors for poor children overseas, and its supporters were shocked by its abandoning traditional and Christian values.

They overwhelmed the switchboard with telephone calls and flooded the World Vision inbox with emails. They got results and an apology. “We have listened to you and want to … humbly ask for your forgiveness,” wrote World Vision President Richard Stearns and board Chairman Jim Bere. “We failed to be consistent with World Vision U.S.’s commitment to the traditional understanding of Biblical marriage and our own Statement of Faith, which says, ‘We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.’”

Evangelicals hold the Gospel to be “the same today, the same yesterday and the same tomorrow,” and World Vision’s donors were outraged that the charity was treating the Gospel as if it were a flawed health care scheme to be revised by presidential whim.

One article I read said they were changing their policy in the United States.

Which made me wonder, what is their policy in the rest of the world? Was ONLY the US going to be adding sodomite partner coverage or only US offices going to be avoiding that sticky wicket?

What percentage of the world is homosexual? MAYBE 2-3%? What percentage of that subgroup even WANTS to be “married” (let alone actually enters into such an arrangement)?

Turn the whole world upside down to appease those who seek to subvert “the establishment”. Smash the patriarchy rhetoric and all that rot.

Pastor Scott Lively is running for office in Massachusetts. He takes on the gay nazi like no one else. With truth. His changes of winning are small, but he’s giving people a lot to think about during the debates.

Exactly! Who could possibly trust them when, at least I am thinking, they could already have same sex marriage moles working for them. Isn’t that what the gay organizations do?..They get a person into a place other people have built, then they immigrate their friends in anytime there is a job opening. Once they get a big enough group inside, then they begin to try to change the policies which made the organization what it is..Why can’t they build their own organizations and leave ours alone?

And I don’t think they really want faux marriage anyway. Their depraved promiscuity knows no bounds, even/especially in their so-called “committed” relationships.

I think faux marriage is one of the ways the society/culture “insulted” them by not letting them do it. They wanted it for no other reason. Same with serving openly in the military and serving as Boy Scout leaders. Any organization that labels them depraved and disgusting, that didn’t want to associate with them, they want that label eliminated and association mandated.

The demons that indwell them apparently don’t like to feel shame in any way.

In Texas, the activist courts are seeking to “recognize” same sex marriage on behalf of two lesbian woman who claim to be married (in another state) and are seeking a divorce in Texas (where none is necessary for them to split).

It ain’t about love or marriage. it’s about subverting the culture.

It's about demanding APPROVAL from society, by FORCE. Which will of course translate to FORCED APPROVAL by individuals.
