Last night I heard Michele say that Sandy (Nancy Shack; she doesn’t give her married surname, or prefers to keep Shack) would be on today, Michele back tomorrow (Wed) then I think she said Avi would be on Thu and— (I shut off the radio as I had arrived at Domino’s to pick up my pizza :) )
Also to all on the Howie list. When you thought it couldn’t get more sick or bizarre, 2 unattended backpacks have been left nr the Marathon finish line:

Well that is good to hear. MichelleMouth loses me every time. She belongs as a counter girl in an Orient Heights pizza joint. I hope your right; my fear is that Avi will go the way of Mo Lauzier.

Per my contention (triggered by a seemingly observant poster on prior carrshow thread) that Sandy (what’s this about her real name being Nancy Shack?) now basically calls the shots throughout local WRKO realm, Avi Nelson would be on her bad side such she doesn’t bring his name up to Howard when subs are discussed.
She gets very pedestrian, prefunctory, patronizing with him.
Todd Feinburg, who subbed a lot for HC before he got his AM slot, very obviously had trouble with her. He once said one has to graduate high school in the Boston area to get fully accepted over there at WRKO - not that I know Sandy to be (doubt it- she’s a State Dept baby) but I got the drift. Remember his getting canned for calling the Green Party gov candidate Grace Ross a “fat lesbian”. Well if you’ve seen Sandy...
Jeff Kuhner as well had trouble with Sandy. His reputation/pull was so great he was able to get the AM slot but Sandy obviously can’t have everything she wants.
I’m sure she’d have Levin off if she had her druthers. She’ll like the hands-off-social-doctrine libertarians like Jerry Doyle. He only had to go because he was so vitriolic toward pro-family conservatives he couldn’t draw an audience if you asked me. He lasted WAAYYYY too long.
I have my troubles with Avi for he’s somewhat same but conversely he’s basically a gentleman w/ real classic Harvard education.
I think Avi keeps Sandy at bay pretty well by being, by reaction to hers, pedestrian, prefunctory, patronizing (with her) but with the erudite air of gentlemanliness she as State Dept baby can’t get her brand of cutesie feminist sarcasm going at.
Well Bon, you might be right, I don’t know. Really I don’t pay much attention to her. She has decided to sub I guess, and it’s clear she really isn’t that bright, well informed or offering much in the way of life experience. Avi has real degrees from Yale, Cornell & Harvard. Has Sandy/Nancy accomplished anything aside from the BC law degree and working at WRKO?
Nancy Shack is def. her real name and she said on a fill in that she got the name “Sandy” because Howie had “poached” her from another show (using her to produce his as well) and they wanted to keep it secret; the “Sandy” name may have been an in-joke reference to Jerry Williams’ girlfriend Sandy Nagro (see the Jerry W bio). Nancy got married and she isn’t using her married name.
One time I heard Max Robins slip up (nobody caught it) and said something to Howie like “people like you and Nancy...”.
Todd Feinburg didn’t get canned by RKO for the “fat lesbian” comment, that was John DePetro (orig. of WHJJ Providence and now at WPRO, where he has gotten into trouble for other things). DePetro had called Matt Amorello, “Fag Matt. Wife wears the pants.” Then the G. Ross comment. I don’t know about what you mentioned. After subbing on WBZ for awhile, Todd is now doing some kind of traffic-radio-app deal.
I don’t know if the fill-ins are Sandy’s call or not, but they tend to say other people pick them (the PD or GM; Kevin Graham is the former).

That was the verdict of Mayor Marty Walsh and Police Commissioner William Evans on the latest “performance artist” to plunge the city in turmoil. So what if they had to shut down the Green Line and “detonate” said artiste’s attack backpack Tuesday night on Boylston Street?
“There was no breach of security,” said the mayor yesterday.
Of course not. A guy dressed all in black with a veil that made him look like the Beekeeper of Death runs barefoot down Boylston Street chanting “Boston Strong!” and then abandons his backpack in the middle of the street where the vice president had been babbling incoherently a few hours earlier.
Oh sure, happens every day. Especially on the first anniversary of the marathon bombings. Especially when the backpack contains a pressure cooker like the Muslim welfare terrorists used last year to murder three infidels in the same location.
How many EBT cards do you suppose Kayvon Edson has? He once called a Wakefield cop a “pig,” and he gave the finger to Leo the police dog — that alone should be good for two or three extra cards.
Plus, just looking at the guy, you can tell he is one of Nancy Pelosi’s first Obamacare success stories. Obviously Kayvon has shed the surly bonds of “Job Lock.” This bum makes Pajama Boy look like a member of the Tea Party.
OK, ultimately it was much ado about nothing. But don’t tell me it wasn’t a breakdown in security. Especially when the FBI has been taking it on the chin for weeks now because they lost track of two of the tens of thousands of asylum-seeking future terrorists welcomed into this country with MassHealth and EBT cards and Section 8 vouchers by the likes of Joe “It Was Worth It” Biden.
Check out Kayvon’s Facebook page, or what was cached there before it was scrubbed yesterday. Unlike Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s not-so-secret admirers in the state-run media, Kayvon at least honestly admits he has the hots for the “tousle-haired” youth.
“SEXY!” he swoons.
Then watch his video, “Purgatory Vacation.” Purgatory? It’s more like hell. Never have 6 minutes and 50 seconds seemed more like 650 years. We see him for the first time in his Beekeeper of Death garb, and a “nurse” offers him an Ativan.
An Ativan? I don’t think so. What he needs is a shot from an elephant-tranquilizer gun, or at least a good tasering.
We’ll be hearing a lot about Kayvon in the next few weeks, in the run-up to his inevitable Profiles in Courage Award.
He was an aspiring rap artist.
He was turning his life around.
He’s thinking of running for lieutenant governor at the Democratic state convention in Worcester next month.
He was a good boy, a very good boy.
But the ultimate question remains. Kayvon has “tousled” hair, but is he really “SEXY” enough to make the cover of the Rolling Stone?

methinks I got Todd F and John D morphed maybe because each got along with subject Nancy in near same way as in: not.
Nan sure is a piece of work. She’s kept her marriage pretty well under wraps but had to of course mention it (hubby only, right?) slightly for the first few weeks I guess in honeymoon fervor...or at least to explain long vaca.
What got me (too) was her making an ad with use of the words “my family” ( you bet it was emphasized in voice) in there whereas she never mentioned junior or juniorette otherwise. She’s hardly a “pro family” type anyways and this ref was only one I recall to give hint she inherited a youth (youd in Mumblebonics) with the taking of the ring. Was she fearing reprisals at school against the youd? HC and all others freely talk about their children & they might get an occasional barb tossed their way at class- presuming the new Shacker is of school age. So is the new Shacker in their 20’s in which case can’t they fend for themselves inside RT128 business climate?
Yeah, I can’t stand the woman. She’s a first class example of State Dept baby...very sly, shifty left-centrist-barely right actually calling herself a Dem to keep “nonjudgemental” status highest while being able as a RINO to diss at near every turn Demonrat behaviors which would tell anyone with a conscience such “nonjudgementalness” is a ruse... a feminist libertarian.
Howie can’t leave this station soon enough. Her keeping Howard Lawrence happy this long is beyond me, especially given her kissy-face with One L McPhee, Hunt.
