SEATTLE, WA, April 2, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) have removed a Seattle-area troop leader and banned him from the organization for going public with his homosexuality, in what is thought to be the first such case since the BSA voted to allow openly homosexual youth, but not adults, to join.
Scoutmaster Geoff McGrath, 49, a former Eagle Scout and leader of Troop 98 in Rainier Beach, had his BSA membership revoked Monday after an NBC News reporter contacted the organization seeking comment for a profile the network was doing on “the first openly gay Scoutmaster in the nation.”

The BSA rarely targets leaders; they only seem to act if the leaders make a big deal of their sexuality.
The unwritten rule seems to be that if you don’t try to sexualize the scouts (an organization that is NOT supposed to be about sexual matters), then they won’t really bother to ask you what your personal habits are.
It isn’t on the adult application.
A priest who signed the charter papers in all likelyhood, and KNEW what she was doing was against the rules, which means she lied on the application.
I would not want to be led by a liar. Or a woman preacher, for that matter, given the biblical viewpoint on that matter.
Then why don’t the BS leaders come out and say that? That caved to allowing “gay boy scouts”, which is ridiculous. Do little boys really claim to be homosexual? They can’t have it both ways - saying homosexuality is perfectly normal and acceptable but we can’t have true homosexuals as leaders because they might prey on the little boys and teach them about being homosexual, even though we think homosexuality is normal and healthy.
No way in the world I would let my son by in the BS or my daughter in the GS.

My spouse was friends with a guy. He was nice enough. His mothers boyfriend molested him. He turned out to be homosexual. Needless to say when we decided to have kids (our 1st was a boy) we told him we would no longer have any further contact with him. A homosexual male created by molestation is prolly almost guaranteed to pay it forward.

Or, they’d wait until one of the “graduates” from the prior decision sued to be a scout leader.

I don’t think there’ll be a need for any lawsuit though...with the announcement that Robert Gates is soon to be the President of the BSA, the change will happen from within and soon.

This jackwagon got removed because he was being an activist of sorts...if he had kept his yap shut, they’d have probably never known or looked the other way...the BSA has made its bed by pursuing corporate $$. The quid pro quo was that corporations (who value “diversity” just below profits) got to place representatives at the highest levels to make decisions about the BSA.

As a self-proclaimed Scouter, you should know that is absolutely no excuse, especially towards those who have little to no idea on what is REALLY going on within the once “hallowed” halls of the BSA.
