There are lots of Mexicans named Ivan. It’s a very common name in Latin America and Mexico, in particular.
There were a lot of Russians there in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and I assume that’s where the name came from.
However, this guy was born and brought up in the US, in Tucson.

Please be careful with this crap. There are many people with the same names. That’s why we, historically, remember killers with their full (including middle) names.
In EVERY shooting, people (including FReepers) have pointed out innocent people with the same names. This can ruin lives and isn’t right.
