This video shows a woman using Google Glass to get various information as she goes about her day. But then at the end when she gets home, her husband/boyfriend beats her up.

I don't understand the point of the video. Why doesn't she just say, "OK, glass. Let's look at apartment rentals."

Women’s Day is a Communist founded holiday. Communism kills.

Liberals cry when you point that out.

I don't understand the point of the video.

It's basically the same thing as the phony nooses on dorm room doors, the phony swastikas painted on garage doors, the phony anti-gay notes written on waitresses' receipts, the phony attacks on lesbian housemates, the phony racist flyers and posters at college campuses, the phony defaced cars at college campuses, etc.

Let me educate some of you. The race of the woman and man mean nothing. The point of the ad was to show that, in spite of how far we, as a society, have come, some things never change.

Domestic abuse, both male/female and female/male, has gone up. Rather, I should say, the REPORTING of abuse has gone up. It's always been around...now, however, it's ok to talk about it.

And for everyone of your (inclusive you) insensitive, crass comments, let me ask you this:

If your mom, sister, daughter were being smacked around by their spouse, boyfriend or just acquaintance, would you really just sit back and make smart ass remarks? Really?

What this video depicts is a scene where a woman would be in fear for her life. A handgun would take care of the problem, once and for all. I am not saying that every abuser should be shot, but were I in that flat on that day, my weapon would have discharged. I would not be making flip remarks about it...I would DO something about it.

And FYI, in case you don't know, I'm a woman. I used to work with a local government. I have pictures on my phone of an abuse victim, because the cops didn't take the pic to submit with the police report. Guess what the sex of the victim was? A man. And yes, his girlfriend was prosecuted.

So, to boil it down for you...it is never ok to hit someone.
(Oh, and in the comments at the vid, one poster asked “Why did the guy say “Look what you made me do!”” Because an abuser never takes responsibility for their actions. It's always the victim's fault).

So, instead of all these less than intelligent responses (not just to you, Therpsid) I say bring it!!! Discourse welcomed. Let's just keep this fight clean. Annnnd, not every post about a crime here on FR needs to be filled with comments about race or culture.

There are plenty of times when it’s ok to hit someone.

My younger sister married an abuse guy, who’s no longer around now, I know where you’re coming from.

I will also say the cases that I see this stuff happening by far involve muslim men.

Not all cultures are equal, far from it to be exact. It’s not racist or discriminatory to say that, it’s just fact.

I disagree. My daughter's boyfriend once hit her and I tracked him down and beat the dog-shyt out of him. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I amend my statement to read:

It’s never ok to hit someone, unless they hit you or a loved one first. I mean, we all learned it in kindergarten: “He started it! I finished it” I’m just old-school enough to believe that still.

And I hope your daughter’s boyfriend is now her “former” boyfriend! Good for you!

This behavior is institutionally condoned and encouraged globally by only one religion .....and expressed in the media as belonging to only one group........White Males because thats the only group that is safe to demonize ......SO.......

Lets see some REALITY next time an abuse scenario is fabricated for mass public consumption....How bout a little Honesty...accuracy....validity......Waaaats ...up wid dat Mama?

Beyond all that....”If you have the capacity to understand what I wrote”

There is another issue.....special interest groups..... at the rate they are developing power ....Soon some S.M. group will probly sue..a group like yours for discrimination ...lol.........

One time in FL at a boca mall at about 10pm....I was ging to pick up my woman from work....there was a car in the way.....I got out....the passenger door was open....there was a girls head hanging out that door......there was a large dark male on top of her......he was choking her and pounding the back of her head...on the door jam...he was twice her size.....I ran up and yelled “do you need help”?

she looked at me ....the man let go for a few seconds...he was really big.....when she had air.....she called me every bad name that I knew at 22...and some that I had not learned yet
She ended the tirade....WITH.....wHY DONT YOU JUST MIND YOUR OWN F-KN BUSINESS ‘Ya dumb A-ss-hole!!!!

Ive never hit a woman.....had very stern socialization in that area....but that night I realized....That my White mid-western cultural directive .... prohibiting EVER hitting a woman...was not shared by -Many- other groups.........and cultures.....and in respecting the Diversity of these groups.....I would attempt to restrain my socialization and not try to inflict my values on them.

But Im not making movies.....to encourage social change...If I was....I would address the most statistically significant global offenders....Thats what I would do.

oh well

http://www.uic.edu/orgs/cwluherstory/CWLUArchive/interwomen.html

On March 8, 1857, garment workers in New York City marched and picketed, demanding improved working conditions, a ten hour day, and equal rights for women. Their ranks were broken up by the police. Fifty-one years later, March 8, 1908, their sisters in the needle trades in New York marched again, honoring the 1857 march, demanding the vote, and an end to sweatshops and child labor. The police were present on this occasion too.

In 1910 at the Second International, a world wide socialist party congress, German socialist Clara Zetkin proposed that March 8th be proclaimed International Women’s Day, to commemorate the US demonstrations and honor working women the wor ld over. Zetkin, a renowned revolutionary theoretician who argued with Lenin on women’s rights, was considered a grave threat to the European governments of her time; the Kaiser called her “the most dangerous sorceress in the empire.”

http://www.regroupment.org/main/page_iwd.html

International Women’s Day was first celebrated in Russia in 1913 where it was widely publicized in the pages of the Bolshevik newspaper, Pravda, and popularized by speeches in numerous clubs and societies controlled by Bolshevik organizations which presented a Marxist analysis of women’s oppression and the program for emancipation.

Don’t look the UN or International Women’s Day to be clear with the origins. They just “ignore” them and start with “since the early 1900s”.

http://www.un.org/en/events/womensday/history.shtml

http://www.internationalwomensday.com/about.asp

http://www.thedailybeast.com/witw/articles/2014/03/07/international-women-s-day-has-an-unexpected-history.html

If you live in the U.S., though, you may well have made other plans. But don’t feel too bad. The celebration that was born in this country has always done better elsewhere, and for reasons that have nothing to do with apathy and everything to do with history.

The first Women’s Day was observed in the U.S. in February 1909 in a large demonstration marking the one-year anniversary of the 1908 New York Garment Workers’ Strike. Quickly thereafter, women’s days became a rallying point around which people around the world protested war and fought for women’s suffrage. In 1917, a Women’s Day protest in St. Petersburg even triggered the revolution responsible for bringing down the Russian Empire. In 1975 the U.N. established March 8 as its official International Women’s Day and initiated the Decade for Women the following year...

According to historian Estelle B. Freedman, the absence of celebrations in this country has less to do with our indifference than it does with the holiday’s long association with the Communist bloc.

“Before World War I, International Women’s Day really took off here during the suffrage and labor movement,” says Freedman, a Stanford history professor and author of No Turning Back: The History of Feminism and the Future of Women. “But then it was sustained as a communist, socialist holiday, particularly after the Russian Revolution. So, during the beginning of the Cold War especially, it wasn’t something that was embraced in the United States.”

Today IWD is still celebrated in places such as China and Russia as a sort of state-sanctioned Valentine’s Day/Mother’s Day hybrid...

I am just talking to myself here, really. I am commenting in a thread where most of the participants think that a)most male on female abuse happens in the Muslim community and b)are basically saying that women deserve it, as women are not as equal as men...you know, all that Commie-rot and stuff.

So I find myself validating my own decision to carry a gun with me wherever I go, to be married to a man who has never laid a hand on me (one of the two *deal breakers* to saying “yes”) and not tolerating abuse when I see it (why yes, it does hurt to get popped in the jaw, even if I did “just get in the way”).

Since I live in an area with a tiny amount of Muslims, or any other races (yeah, I'm in a white-bread world) and yet have helped on many spousal/SO abuse cases, and have stated that women, as well as men, do the abusing, I can see that I am only talking to myself. This crowd is bound and determined that only Muslims beat their women, and women have it coming. Yeah....I think I'm done here.

OH, and self? Do not subject yourself to people who only see what they want to see. Sometimes, they just need new glasses!

So is this video authentic, or fake (fake can also mean deliberately staged with actors)?

If fake, I can’t really see any purpose behind it other to reinforce the Left wing narrative on sexism and abuse. Namely that men (correction: white men) are the violent abusers and women the helpless and frail victims who require the State to act as their protector.

They had a film on muslim women and honor killings ready to be shown on International Woman's Day. It highlighted a very serious (you might even say deadly) problem for women in the world.

CAIR got it pulled.

Gays rate above blacks and muslims rate above females in the liberal mindset.

Any way I dont understand your post...prohibiting a coherent response....And Im not “high”...which In my estimation leaves the lucidity of your post suspect....Furthermore you are not “blu”....are you?

Anyway I havent hit girls even when they hit me....but I did learn they Really get mad if ya laugh at them......while they are trying to make a strong physical statement.:)
