This video shows a woman using Google Glass to get various information as she goes about her day. But then at the end when she gets home, her husband/boyfriend beats her up.

I don't understand the point of the video. Why doesn't she just say, "OK, glass. Let's look at apartment rentals."

I don't understand the point of the video.

It's basically the same thing as the phony nooses on dorm room doors, the phony swastikas painted on garage doors, the phony anti-gay notes written on waitresses' receipts, the phony attacks on lesbian housemates, the phony racist flyers and posters at college campuses, the phony defaced cars at college campuses, etc.

Let me educate some of you. The race of the woman and man mean nothing. The point of the ad was to show that, in spite of how far we, as a society, have come, some things never change.

Domestic abuse, both male/female and female/male, has gone up. Rather, I should say, the REPORTING of abuse has gone up. It's always been around...now, however, it's ok to talk about it.

And for everyone of your (inclusive you) insensitive, crass comments, let me ask you this:

If your mom, sister, daughter were being smacked around by their spouse, boyfriend or just acquaintance, would you really just sit back and make smart ass remarks? Really?

What this video depicts is a scene where a woman would be in fear for her life. A handgun would take care of the problem, once and for all. I am not saying that every abuser should be shot, but were I in that flat on that day, my weapon would have discharged. I would not be making flip remarks about it...I would DO something about it.

And FYI, in case you don't know, I'm a woman. I used to work with a local government. I have pictures on my phone of an abuse victim, because the cops didn't take the pic to submit with the police report. Guess what the sex of the victim was? A man. And yes, his girlfriend was prosecuted.

So, to boil it down for you...it is never ok to hit someone.
(Oh, and in the comments at the vid, one poster asked “Why did the guy say “Look what you made me do!”” Because an abuser never takes responsibility for their actions. It's always the victim's fault).

So, instead of all these less than intelligent responses (not just to you, Therpsid) I say bring it!!! Discourse welcomed. Let's just keep this fight clean. Annnnd, not every post about a crime here on FR needs to be filled with comments about race or culture.

I will also say the cases that I see this stuff happening by far involve muslim men.

I disagree. My daughter's boyfriend once hit her and I tracked him down and beat the dog-shyt out of him. And I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
