Mom With Cancer Dies After Incredibly Selfless Act to Protect the Life of Her Unborn Baby Girl
The Blaze ^ | Apr. 2, 2014 | Billy Hallowell

A New York woman died last month after making the ultimate sacrifice for her unborn baby girl — delaying cancer treatment and forging on with her pregnancy.

Elizabeth Joice was first diagnosed with a malignant tumor in 2010, though she was declared cancer-free after undergoing surgery and four rounds of chemotherapy.

After clearing that barrier, she and her husband, Max, wanted to start a family, but doctors told her it would be virtually impossible to conceive.

But Joice was a fighter.

Defying the odds yet again, she and her husband announced that they were pregnant in the summer of 2013, offering up unexpected joy to their friends and family.

And that’s when Joice found out just one month later that her cancer had returned.

She and Max were faced with a horrific choice: Abort the child and begin treatment immediately, start treatment and continue the pregnancy — or delay much-needed medical care in an effort to protect the unborn baby girl.

Joice ultimately decided to delay treatment.

“Having a kid was one of the most important things in the world to her,” Max told the New York Post. “She said, ‘If we terminate the pregnancy and it turns out I can’t have a baby [later], I’ll be devastated.’ She knew this might be her only chance.”

I think most mothers would. I would. The child has a potentially very long life, a mother has already been blessed with a life. No way could I abort my child.

This is the glory, beauty, and courage of how God made women. Not to compete with men in the lifeless job market and business career, but loving and caring for their families and, like this special lady, even giving their lives for the ones they love. The world needs more of ‘em like this.

When you read a story like this, it gives you hope that this country and the world, for that matter, has a chance to return to sanity. It brings tears to my eyes to read about this woman’s selfless sacrifice of her own life for that of her unborn child. Then my thoughts turn to all the selfish women (and men too for that matter) who crow incessantly about their “right” to kill their unborn children as if the life inside them is a great big bother. The wholesale iniquity today is just startling.

She chose that that new life would have a chance.

An amazing decision.

No Pro-Abort has EVER proposed a law restircting Abortion to cases of Rape, Incest, or the Life of the Mother!

Conservatives SHOULD NEVER fall into the trap of responding to such questions!

Instead, IMMEDIATELY turn the tables and ask the Pro-Abort whether THEY would ever suppport such restrictions!!!

Then, further challenge them by asking; “If YOU would never support such a “reasonable law”, WHY are you trying to characterize me, with such a question?”!!!!
