interesting how they brought in the concealment tents.

They are taking and will have their “experts” declare it all outside of private property.

Interesting tidbit about Mr. Miller. He was involved in the testing of the Atomic Bomb

This actually is suspicious, especially now that I have seen that photo. I didn’t used to be a “conspiracy theorists”, but Obama has opened my eyes. Of course I didn’t used to be racist either, but my president seems to say that I am (and by the way so are you).

Sounds like the NSA might have been listening on his phone or email conversations, and possibly he could have located the missing Malaysian flight 370, so it was important to seize all his stuff before that happened. (Tinfoil hat time?)

The guy is 91 and has collected this stuff for 80 years...to quote Hillary..”What difference does it make?” At his age he is likely not trafficking in these artifacts. Doesn't the FBI have more serious matters to tend to than this crap? When the guy dies let his family donate these items or sell them where posssible.

"Compound".

That's how the demonization begins.

I remember when I first saw photos of Randy Weaver's "compound". It was a freakin' plywood cabin.

Waco? Wood frame buildings.

Just like this "rural compound". It's a country home.

"compound "

Funny how that word crops when the media and government are working hand-in-hand to demonize someone, in this case, a guy who has a collection of artifacts he has assembled over nearly 80 years. I didn't even see a fence.

What they neglected to point out is the cash value of those artifacts. A single (clovis) projectile point can bring $8,000.00 or more. Other, more exotic artifacts could easily be worth much more. They wouldn't have to pocket a lot of items to snatch an impressive amount of value, and who knows what the collection would be worth on the market.

IMHO, the burden of proof that items were illegally acquired rests with the state, and this seizure is designed to take the man's life savings (in artifacts).

Theft, plain and simple. The chances of him living long enough to successfully pursue court action to have his possessions returned is very low, (and the probability that key and valuable artifacts would be 'missing' very high.)

Feds descended on a compound, sound familiar to anyone? Think Waco. News with views strikes again. Whenever the Feds do something this illegal they clue in the media to shape the story before it happens. They hide their names behind these faceless, bureaucratic actions, we need to know who these people are. They, like cockroaches fear the light. Set up that website.

HEY! FBI! Just shoot him with some beanbags. Be a lot easier if he’s dead.

There’s that word compound again. You can certainly tell when the government is up to no good.

Wasn’t there another word for it at one time?

Oh yes. Home! That’s it.

It now appears we live in our ‘compounds’ at the generosity of the federal government, only until it desires to destroy us.

Maybe the guy is one of the super villains from the enjoyable, but outright silly Dirk Pitt novels. I love how there always seems to be some International crime boss who has murdered hundreds of people to get some ancient incan calculator. Cussler is a hack writer, but they are a great beach read.

He is lucky the FBI didn’t just shoot him first. The local cops are looking for his dog.

This is looking a lot more like the 20th century Germany all of the time. The people there did not believe that what did happen was possible in their enlightened culture.
