A city board on Thursday gave a Muslim group the go-ahead to remove six crosses from the roof and spires of a century-old former Catholic church so the now-vacant Gothic structure can be used as a mosque.

Years ago, before retiring from L.E., I was called to the scene of bones discovered in front of a church. The front walk was dug up to be repaired and they found the bones IFO the church, an old protestant church built in the early 20th century. Anyway, long story short, they were found to be pig bones, most likely remnants of an old barbecue.
I hope the old congregation of the church in Syracuse also had roasted up a pig at a church dinner and buried the bones on site.
