Springtime is here. The birds are singing, temperatures are on the rise and the Occupy movement is emerging from winter hibernation, calling for a worldwide wave of action Friday to re-launch anti-capitalism protests.
Occupiers have been instructed by the movements official Twitter feed to congregate at Zuccotti Plaza in New York City Friday morning. The plan is to march to nearby Federal Plaza.
Zuccotti was the stronghold of Occupy Wall Street the last two years.
An associated Facebook page announced a protest against the regressive 1% agenda of Governor Andrew Cuomo and for a truly progressive one that includes the basic needs and human and environmental rights of the people.
Similar calls for Friday protests were issued by Occupy Philly and Occupy DC.

Translation: Mom wants them out of the basement so she can clean, do laundry, fumigate, spray for roaches and throw out the skin mags, rotted Cheetos and blow-up dolls.
“Oohh oooh that smell. Can’t you smell that smell?”
There goes the neighborhood ....
Any group that pledges to blow up bridges, who smash up small businesses, attacks cops, crap on cars, stink up city blocks, hold up traffic, attack cars, attack people, are TERRORISTS.
Which means more rapes, more vandalism, more throwing used condoms at school children, while the police do nothing.
They don’t want to do anything to make their hero Warren Wilhelm look bad.
NYC deserves everything it gets. Let them rot in hell.
They did smell, I use work down by Wall street and you could smell them over a block away. One day in particular I remember turning the corner and basically getting slapped in the face by the stench. It smelled like a bunch of those Port-a-lavs had spilled out into the street, that’s how bad it was. And Bloomberg - the guy who bans soda - let them stay there almost a year. Soda is bad. Vomiting from a constant stench is good.
I hope if the TEA Party decides to go out and kick a little snotty-nosed, rich college kid ass, they give me a heads up. It’s past time to end the moronic childish games that are destroying our country, IMHO.
That’s why I moved. I said if they elect that commie as Mayor I am out of there, and they did so I moved. Bloomberg was bad enough, but there was no way in hell I am living under a hardcore blatant commie and I grew up there. Like you said, let them rot in hell. That city is finished, dead. All of them can go F themselves. I hope he taxes all those rich libs who held multiple fundraisers for him and Obama at 100%. Do it up comrade de Blasio, show them the beauty of Marxism, let them wallow in it till they choke.
Maybe they’ll raise a stink about six years of DC leadership failure and no jobs.
But are they also going to take a ***** on a police car? Or dump tubs of urine on the streets and sidewalks?????
How much do they pay ?
More like a wave of human poop in the parks...the dog and goose poop wasn’t bad enough...
Schools out for Summer!
Ah yes, the Occupackers.
What they need is to have a pissed off Dragon visit their tent city.
So they’re going after rats this time then? They must have come out of their drugged up stupor and realized who is really responsible.
I assume like typical leftists they just miss that sort of violent babyish behavior just for the sake of itself, and want to relive old times.
The Occupy clowns against Cuomo?
HA HA HA!
“Maybe theyll raise a stink about six years of DC leadership failure and no jobs.”
Occupy Wall Street disappeared from the news when participants being interviewed started attacking Obama. I watched live interviews on the news one evening, and then I never saw coverage of it again. These people might be libs (I’m talking about the original “Occupy”, mainly consisting of laid-off financial district employees - not the “Save the Whales freaks that hijacked the cameras later), but they were laid-off middle class people who watched their futures disappear when their jobs were sent to Asia. I don’t see them voting for an Obama clone any time soon, and many probably don’t live in the city (to vote for DeBlasio).
Whatever indifference people might feel towards their plight, it is being replayed with frightening consequences across the country: whites have generally stopped breeding (and as a result stopped setting up homes), and they are voting for communists out of desperation. For all of the mockery about living in parents’ basements, I’ll tell you that if I wasn’t married with a family, I’d be in no rush to pay somebody else’s mortgage by renting an apartment.
Cuomo has been opposing their hero Wilhelm. He’s actually been pretty sane, supporting charter schools, etc., while De Blasio has been doing his best to turn NYC into Marxism Central.
It will be interesting how the folks with CCW permits will do in regards to Occupy.
This should work to our advantage. They did no good for their cause the last time. This will not be any different.
This is going to all backfire against them.
I see 2014 to be a very, very major wave midterm election year that would make 2010 look like a day at the beach.
Why don’t they set up camp in DC around the capitol? That’s where the 1% really are.
Please, tell us you fascist terrorists.
Does this mean they're finally going to work out the "one clear demand" that all their twinkly meetings never managed to accomplish two years ago?
The rapists and murderers are back!
“I see 2014 to be a very, very major wave midterm election year that would make 2010 look like a day at the beach.”
I hope so; the 2012 preseidential election should have been in the bag, but it wasn’t. Now there should be even more people POed at Dems; I hope they can think for themselves instead of letting TV determine their votes...
