"Naqibullah, a policeman in Tani district of Khost, opened fire on two foreign journalists. One was killed and one was wounded," a spokesman for the governor of Khost province, Mobariz Zadran, told Reuters.
According to an AP freelancer who witnessed the attack, the two had arrived in the heavily guarded district compound before the incident:
As they were sitting in the car waiting for the convoy to move, a unit commander named Naqibullah walked up to the car, yelled "Allahu Akbar" God is Great and opened fire on them in the back seat with his AK-47. He then surrendered to the other police and was arrested.

That photograph of the Afghan slave women with our female soldiers is simply an outrage. For our politically correct generals to tolerate that is a crime. Those women should be in respectful cloting or our officers should be resigning in mass.
Unquestionably she shared in the blame. You are 100% correct. I cannot and will not believe that she wasn't warned about the danger she was in. And, it's my cynical belief she blew off all those warnings in some warped belief that the worst could not and would not happen.
I hope she's happy now--she's had her 15 minutes of fame

Interstate game: Wasn't it called "chicken"??
STUPID game for STUPID people.
Hey, they were most likely happy that those solders were there, period.
“...Americans allowed the girls and women to go to school...”
Yes, but... not to the extent they did in the 1960s and with less protection from Mohammedan fanatics.
We’ve been in Afghanistan for about 12 years. In the aftermath of World War II we occupied Japn for just seven years.
Diminshing returns set in long ago in Afghanistan.
Until we nuke Mecca and destroy their satanic pagan idol allah, this will continue.
At least she died doing what she loved, not many do.
Yep, and not being afraid to deal with a possible “fatwa” on one’s head.
“...she died doing what she loved, not many do...”
Yes, I’m surprised many here seem to think that the purpose of life is to play it safe. She died refusing to submit to Mohammedan zip-wads.
THINK: AMY BHIEL.
“And Bush’s rhetoric about the “religion of peace” did not help either.”
**********
Truely one of the dumbest utterances to ever come from the mouth of a U.S. president. I’m sure there was a political motivation behind it but at best, it was world class stupidity. At worst, it put a false veneer on a serious threat.
The difference is that Amy Bhiel was campaigning against Western culture instead of for it. Yet the anti-West and anti-White crowd still did not appreciate her pointy little head.
More Moslem heroics.
End of story.
“...it put a false veneer on a serious threat...”
Yes, and it led to the medias unending quest to find and portray “moderate islam”.
And that was before the Russians came in. I sense the regression began right after that invasion.
From the skittles and unicorns obama style democracy he imposed on them...
I still think we should have killed all their leaders, flattened all their infrastructure (such as it was) divided the country along ethnic lines, set the ethnic groups at each other’s throats, and walked away.
Another liberal learns a hard lesson of life.
