I used to think that if you could bottle CNN you’d have a cure for insomnia. CNN gave dull a bad name. But CNN had good points, too. It was seen as the place to go if you were in the market for serious news.
Not anymore.
Ever since Malaysian Airlines flight 370 disappeared a month ago, CNN’s credibility has gone missing too. The network has gone wall-to-wall with coverage of the missing plane — not with actual news, but with hours and hours of speculation, some of it downright outrageous.
One of the network’s anchors, a fellow named Don Lemon, wondered out loud whether something “supernatural” might have happened to the plane. That not being inane enough, a few days later he outdid himself, asking a panel CNN put together if the plane might have disappeared into a black hole.
Dull is one thing. Embarrassing is something else. School children know that black holes only exist in space – outer space! They don’t exist at 35,000 feet where airplanes fly.
Mr. Lemon, who seems like a nice enough guy, is a lucky man. If I were running CNN he would be looking for work someplace else. He didn’t simply embarrass himself with his ridiculous questions. He embarrassed his entire network. CNN used to be the place to go for real news. These days it’s the place to go for a few laughs.

A lot of Christian preachers are starting to talk about the fact that the MSM may be floating ideas like this as ground prep to try and explain the Rapture.
I was completely pro-CNN for the first two weeks following the disappearance.
At this time however, they’ve lost me once again.
If something turns up, but no more until then.
It’s hard to laugh when you’re BARFing.
I think they have a “Breaking News” bulletin up right now.

Criticize all you like; I owe it to CNN big time for informing me that the Malaysian flight was abducted by Martians.
To be fair, all of the cable news channels have engaged in endless speculation and Rumor mongering — Fox too. These days news channels epitomize the same journalistic standards as E or People magazine. Real journalism is dead.
Credibility? That's been missing for a looooong time.
The ad nauseam coverage of flight 370 is nothing more than Obama failure distraction. They will keep that ball in play until something else juicy comes along. Anything to protect Barky.
CNN and Don Lemon are proof that while not all idiots are liberals, all liberals are idiots.
Based on pure motive, I’m more worried about CNN blowing up an airliner than Muslims.
Fox should take a look at that angle ;-)

CNN hasn’t done anything interesting since one of their crews shot their way out of Tikrit, Iraq in 2003.
Well in CNN’s defense as hard as that is to do —
If I or a family member were floating around in the water after a plane crash, I would have been very appreciative for CNN’s over-the-top news coverage keeping it a priority to facilitate my rescue before I was out of sight and out of mind and out of breath.
