The names of the six-member jury panel that acquitted George Zimmerman in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin have been made public for the first time, after a new court order, records show.

Circuit Judge Debra Nelson, who had previously ordered the jurors' identifying information be kept confidential, granted access to the names in a ruling March 21.

I would think that’s good enough reason for legal recourse right there against the party making those names public.

There will be trouble when the first juror is harassed in a dangerous way (death threats, assaulted, etc.).

District Attorneys are not drawn form a pool of available citizens as far as I know

However, they ARE drawn from a pool of slime somewhere near the courthouse................

who opposed the media?

*******

Good question but not sure there was a hearing. Thus no court action,
just a release by the judge.

From the article:

.... In a letter, Sentinel attorneys asked Nelson for a specific ruling on how long
she planned to maintain the jurors’ anonymity, noting it was already “well past the
six month ‘cooling off’ period requested by the defense.” ....

No kidding. America is looking more and more like the Soviet Union with each passing day. Intimidation, thought-crimes, fear.

This judge is all but soliciting the murder of the jurors.

Exactly...this is all about intimidating future jurors...as well as punishing these jurors for the "wrong" verdict.

Just days after Holder signaled that he plans to have Zimmerman tried again...probably trying to calculate when the trial will have maximum political impact on the November elections.

constitutionally you have the right to face the accuser and that includes not having secret juries.

In a court of law, not at their front door.

And anyway, the jury is not the accuser.

Jurors are not accusers.

That was a very dumb comment.

The accused in the case had zero desire to see the names of the jurors made public.

This makes your comment doubly foolish.

Even if the accused were to exercise his right to discover the identities of the jurors so his attorneys could investigate them for bias on appeal, there would be no need to make their names public.

This makes your comment trebly mindless.
