“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matt 7:15

How delicious was it for the new Abe Lincoln to do a touchdown dance celebrating the seven million slaves signing up for his healthcare plan. Never mind nobody in the room including him believed the number or the quality of the signees, he had to rub it in the face of all Americans that he won and they lost. It reminded you a bit of Hitler high fiving the 6 millionth Jew or Mao his 20 millionth dissenters, as he mugged for the camera for his fellow Marxists. You could really tell he had no clue how many had signed up or how insurance works.

As we showed last week, insurance is simply a method where companies pool as many people together to share the risk while keeping the risk expense as low as possible. These companies have been doing this for hundreds of years setting up precise matrices analyzing that pool to attempt to predict the amount of claims those pools will have over different periods of time. Part of the matrix was analyzing who was coming into the pool using underwriting to cost different risk factors.

Someone who has had cancer in the past five years does not have the same risk factor as a young person who is in great health. A girl is going to have pregnancy costs that a young man normally won’t and those should be factored into the pricing of their policies. These factors are no longer allowed under obamacare so everyone has the same cost whether they had cancer yesterday and we are finding everyone has pregnancy coverage whether you are male or female.

Before obamacare, competition kept the rates in line so people could afford it. The invisible hand of competition forced the companies to lower their rates or the people would shop their rates and find a carrier willing to offer a policy at a lower cost. Every company was competing against every other insurer keeping the companies as low as they could possibly be. In addition they had to keep them affordable or people would simply drop their coverage and go without or raise their deductable so they would only carry a major medical to cover a catastrophic health emergency.

The hardest customer for an insurance company to get was young males. They are the ideal customer for a company since they never go to the doctor except for accidents and have the lowest usage. The problem for the insurance industry is they would rather spend their money on a Vette and a brunette than on a boring old insurance policy. Unless their company carried it they weren’t buying it. Obamacare will now force them to carry it or will fine them or put them in jail. This upsets the apple cart more than any other issue this boondoggle causes.

When the gummit forces people to buy something with a gun to their head then the price of that item is naturally going to go up. They no longer can be influenced to buy using lower prices, price is no longer a factor; there is now an artificial demand which means prices have to go up. In addition to a riskier pool through not allowing health underwriting or as Marxists call it discrimination; the prices are going to explode forcing people into bankruptcy or jail. This is what the president of the United States was celebrating.

This economic disaster has to be repealed. There is not one piece of the legislation including forced insurance for the young males which is worth the cost. The gummit forcing these young men into the pool when they would rather be using their money to start their lives makes as much sense as opening a Lemonade stand without lemonade. Even Oworthless has admitted it by eliminating the mandate for everyone except the small businesses and individuals because he knows supporting obamacare is political suicide. So he goes in front of the Marxist Media and does a touchdown dance filled with hate and vitriol towards his political enemies and claims he reached his goal that was as believable as the keeping your doctor line and declares the debate over. Sorry, Mr Magoo the debate has only begun. This debate is going on as long as that sorry piece of legislation has the name of Obamacare or Hillarycare and now you get to explain it when they know what is in the bill.

This is exactly the problem you have with a centralized communist gummit. Not only is it unbending and inefficient, it is filled with people who believe they are smarter than the marketplace. Even though they have no actual experience in a field like healthcare which was the most sophisticated system in the world, they believe they have all the answers when they don’t. They believe they are smarter and can write a bill which covers everyone for a lower cost by taking the profits out of the equation as their Marxist professors taught them. Now reality has stepped in, so not only are the premiums higher, the coverage is worse and the only way you can get people to buy this monstrosity is by threats from the IRS, but seven million…

There is only one viable solution to the unfixable Democrat disaster, repeal. The old system was working far better than obamacare and we have yet to see the worst of it which is the claim system. The only thing that is worse is Single Payer or Nationalized Healthcare. If you think obamacare is expensive, wait until you have the gummit turn it into Medicare which has doubled in cost. These Marxists have put us in such a box so now there is only one way out and that is burn that box to the ground and start over. Let the insurance companies go back to writing insurance the way it is supposed to be underwritten and set up a high risk pool for those who Obama has left in the cold. It will be painful just as it was for Eastern Europe leaving the Soviet Union, but it will be twice as painful if we continue on the tracks this trainwreck is leading us. This is what he celebrates.

Pray America wakes up

Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Bray’s. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.

There is a huge problem here with the supposed 7 million sign-ups. First and foremost more that that number have lost their "good" insurance.And... worse than that perhaps hundreds of millions more will lose more good insurance in the future if zero care remains in effect. And... we don't know how many were forced to sign up for zero care and get a fraction of what they had before because their polices were canceled.Just ask Obie and Anthony.

In addition over half of the sign-ups are on Medicaid who pay nada.

In 2010 it cost over $5,500 per person for medicaid enrollees who pays for this? Also there are huge numbers of high-risk people who can't get insurance anywhere else. So, they go for zero care and are glad to get it.

Problem is these are primarily high risk people who will run the cost of treating them up dramatically--who pays for that?

If you add up most of these enrollees and then add on premium support sing ups who pay anywhere from $2 per month to maybe a hundred how many of the seven million are left that actually pay for zero care? Answer=dam few.

Bottom line the ACA is another welfare program that will be the most costly in the history of the country and guess who gets to pay for all these freeloaders? If you looked into the mirror you passed Go and paid $200 instead of collecting. Once again the regime is creating a socialsitc/communistic state in the US and getting us to pick up the tab. Slick if nothing else.

Look for them to double down on everything they do in anticipation of November when we kick many of their sorry asses out of government forever.

Here is the funniest analysis of the shows courtesy of poster “Jaibones” over at Hot Air, as good as it gets.
......................

Welcome to the Sunday Morning DNC Media Propaganda Shows! In this morning’s edition you will once again be treated to every version of the liberal philosophy in spades, and only if something goes very wrong will you hear the common sense of conservatism.

The shows will be arranged, staffed and conducted by liberals, with the obvious but not dramatic exception of Fox.

Let’s have a gander:

“Meet the Press” on NBC
• Shaun McCutcheon – plaintiff, McCutcheon v. FEC (N/A)
• Michael Mullen – Pentagon*
• John E. Sununu – conservative-ish
• Harold Ford Jr. – liberal, former CBC crook

The home of the Kook-Left, looking for plausible deniability. Also, a new category – Pentagon. Where self-interest and misdirection cloud the normal left-right view of motivations.

“Face the Nation” on CBS
• Mike McCaul – Conservative!
• Dan Pfeiffer – Liberal

Fair enough. Two on one is a good day for conservatives.

“This Week” on ABC
• Claire McCaskill – Liberal
• John Carter – mostly conservative
• Peter Chiarelli – Pentagon
• Newt Gingrich – former conservative

“Fox News Sunday” on Fox
• McCaul – conservative
• Tim Kaine – liberal
• Liz Cheney – conservative

Fox rarely short-sheets us.

“State of the Union” on CNN
• Nancy Pelosi (D – Bellevue) – left-lunatic fringe
• Mike Rogers – RINO
• Dutch Ruppersberger – liberal
• Tulsi Gabbard – liberal
• Tim Murphy – RINO

“Political Capital” on Bloomberg TV
• Rogers – RINO
• Paul Ryan – former conservative, leader of Amnesty push

Notice the Strange New Respect afforded to these dorks; Ryan for not being a candidate and for his amnesty death-wish, and Rogers for resigning and a career as Morning Joe II.

“Newsmakers” on C-SPAN
• Jason Furman – limousine liberal

“Al Punto” / Racist TV on Univision
• Joe Garcia – race-victim liberal

Ho hum.

Nice expose' as usual of the Usual Suspects, bray.

Now that Dear Leader has done his victory dance in the end zone, the media can move on to other things more important except everything the Regime touches is such an obvious disaster they have decided to go on to "nothing" and bore us to tears instead because they can no longer blame everything on the weather or George Bush - not that they still won't try, mind you.

I'm surprised they haven't got Beyoncé and old reruns of the OJ trial on all the channels this morning. It would make for more compelling viewing.

Given the fact that most of the sign-ups are getting subsidized health insurance, the actual slaves are the 100 million or so of us who work and must pay the massahs’ (aka welfare kings and queens) health care costs.

I agree with your observations.

Referring to your comment:
there are huge numbers of high-risk people who can't get insurance anywhere else.

Actually the number is between 1 and 2% of those seeking coverage. HOWEVER, they would make up around 50% of the claims.

The "dirty little secret is" is they are mostly AIDS patients.

Topic: Benghazi testimony

Political edit of talkingpoints.

Haden claims it was not political.

On-the-ground personnel were overruled by Washington.

==

I have noticed during several ‘live’ tragedies [Boston Marathon bombing, Fort Hood shooting, Murrah bombing, Sandy Hook shooting, etc.] that initially ‘news’ comes from on-the-ground persons/witnesses.

Then, usually within an hour or so, the ‘reporting’ sources switch from local eye-witness personnel to ‘Washington’ or ‘the FBI’ or ‘the White House’.

Politics may not always be ahead of a tragedy, but it rapidly takes over. It takes a while to get the filtering apparatus in place.

During the early hours of the most recent Ft. Hood shooting, ‘officials’ apparently told local media that they were not allowed to talk to ‘eyewitnesses’ any more.

Does anyone notice that when the topic of multi-culturalism would logically derive from a NEGATIVE matter or event, the topic of multi-culturism, poof!, disappears?

To wit: the ethnic/racial/social/religious make-up of today’s US military has underscored at least four of these killing sprees that I can think of off the top of my head, two at Fort Hood, two in Afghanistan.

But instead of the possible influence of a military that increasingly operates as a whacko social experiment, we hear that “post-traumatic stress disorder” (PTSD) is what it’s all about.

But PTSD is just a euphemism for battle fatigue, and that was just as common in the WWII era as it is today. Yet how many members of the majority white male US fighting force of long-ago come home shell shocked and go on killing sprees of fellow soldiers?

The point being—

We’ve always had PTSD (no matter what it is called) but only of late have we turned the military into a multi-culti incubator.

Eric Holder asks that America have “a frank conversation on race.”

O.K.

Here you go, Eric.

Why is it that a dominant white male military of the WWII era, just as rife with men suffering battle fatigue or PTSD, did not produce homicidal maniacs? Whereas, today’s military (reflecting all your precious multi-culti imperatives) seems to spit out lunatic killers on a regular basis. Why is that?

Come on, homie. Let’s have a “conversation on race.”

Claims make up about 80% of premium...by law, which differs by state. That explains the doubling or tripling of premiums and simultaneous degrading of benefits.

Brit! They have to repeal the “guaranteed issue” aspect which otherwise kill the insurance concept.

If you ever wonder how the advancement of the queer agenda affects you....see ObamaCare.

We had a spirited discussion over at AT yesterday regarding the capitulation of Brendan Eich over at Mozilla.
He committed some imaginary crime against some gays years ago—daring to oppose gay marriage— and it was dredged up by the drivebys and as they say the rest is commie style history.
Seems he employed the Trent Lott/Paula Deen apologize all the time defense of lying in the road and getting run over by a semi loaded with driveby media.
I guess it remains to be see whether or not Eich will sue Mozilla’s ass off and have the last laugh or fade into obscurity as did Lott and Deen.
Deen, who after losing her tv gig is now closing up restaurants as well. Some never learn. The only defense against liberalism is a howitzer as opposed to a hanky.
Anyway its below if you want to check it out.

And how much of this sh*t was actually “sold?” Where are the numbers breaking down how many of these “enrollees” were just Medicaid recipients with a new name for the same old welfare package?

Some conservative in Congress needs to assert that less than 1 million people paid the full price and challenge the administration to prove otherwise. This is the game that Reid played with Romney’s taxes.

Repubs—repeat after me:

Less than 1 million actually bought government health insurance. Less than 1 million actually bought government health insurance.

This could be made a “fact” in days.

Do you have a cite to do some more research?

The research is multi-faceted, but the best source is the states that had High Risk Pools.

If you live in a HRP association state, just ask a health insurance agent or broker the total number of private individual policies that WERE in effect vs the number of patients in the HRP. Unfortunately, he may not be real busy now, and happy to discuss the issue.

Another source for that same information would be the Superintendent or Commissioner of Insurance in your state (or the chosen HRP state)

Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Dakota, were all in pretty good shape.

Well, as far as the military goes, I distinctly remembering that it was pretty much a blanket order to not talk directly to the press about anything but to refer them to the Public Relations officer (PRO).

There were issues about OPSEC, classified matters, etc., that a troop might inadvertently spill to the press if they didn’t know better. And really, the PRO was well trained in obfuscation and lying :-).

But seriously, the press can be real bastards. I remember back in the late 80’s, when we had several people made hostages of Lebanese terrorists, there was a Marine Lt. Col that was captured. His wife was a Major at the Pentagon. When the terrorists released photos of the Lt. Col’s body swinging on a rope, all the press gathered on the steps of the Mall Entrance to harangue her when she came in. I was there. One reporter shouted, “How do you feel, now knowing your husband is dead?!”

Despicable. I had to restrain an Army buddy of mine who wanted to desperately kick the reporter’s ass.

So I still wouldn’t put it past a reporter at Ft Hood to start making similar “demands”.

As we have often stated here zero care was never designed to actually work. Just give over huge portions of the economy to big socialistic govt. We should always keep that in mind.

Yes, I got more energy and did some google searching.

http://www.wnd.com/2013/12/the-stats-dont-lie-gay-health-costs-coming-your-way/

A million and a half Aids patients cost an average $30 grand per year. Year after year for a population that is probably pretty young when they get the disease…

So about 3 insurance policy payers support one aids patients.

I can see why this is submerged.

Thanks.

State versus CIA has been a behind the scenes argument for years. State (can’t we all get along) versus CIA (we’ll kill you if you don’t act the way we want you to).

State seems to have an over abundance of liberals in it and CIA has more conservative members so they’ve had different goals and philosophies. Conservative Secretaries of State have often had problems with State employees doing things on their own to the detriment of our country.

Obamacare was designed to destroy the insurance industry and forcing Americans into Nationalized healthcare. We will then be a Marxist country.

General Hayden brushing off Benghazi as a told you so dispute was pretty devastating. Of course CIA was going to tell them not to go there on 9/11 without enough force, but Hillary knew better.

That was the dispute.

Wow that is huge!
Add in the majority of the signups being put on medicaid atR5,500 per year and you have a huge unpaid for welfare bill that someone will have to pay for. Unless... the regime just prints the money ala Bernanke/yellen. Just one more way to destroy a nation. Run it into irretrievable bankruptcy which will be inevitable unless zerocare is stopped 100%.

What was the best personnel decision you made?

DNC Dave says don’t worry that premiums go up the govt. will just pay for it.
You gotta wonder who believes this crap.
