Bill Clinton did say “The era of big government is over!” He was lying, is true, but he did “admit” that progressive policies were failed.

So, an admission that is a lie does not technically disprove your point....

I disagree with the author’s assertion that “this administration could not organize a two car funeral.” They have been very adept at using the agencies (EPA, Labor, NLRB, HHS and ICE) to accomplish progressive goals that could not be achieved in Congress and are not supported by a majority of the American people. There is perhaps no greater argument to refuse to elect another Democrat as President in 2016 than to stop this subversion of democracy, representative government, federalism and the separation of powers.

So it isn’t hard to understand where Romney is coming from.

Another expert on Massachusetts politics? Cool! To claim your "expert" trophy why don't you take the quiz put forth in post #34?

And no fair looking it up!

He didn't get enough votes. He was unelectable.

Christine O’Donnell got more votes in her Senate run than Robamany in his Presidential run in Delaware. Mittens was unelectable. His 47% comment was spot on but he ran away from it like a little school girl. The real DemocRat wins when DemocRat lite is the other choice.

There’s no question that Dems are evil. I get that. But I just do not believe that us continuing to elect republicans who are repeatedly proving themselves every bit as evil is the answer.

People ignored Romney’s decades of liberalism because they felt Obama would be worse. The GOP INTENTIONALLY interpreted that as a green light to get more liberal. Now they are fully complicit.

But had we elected Romney instead, does anyone honestly think he would have disavowed his decades of liberalism once in office? The guy that replaced Kerry as the grandmaster of the flip flop would have gone right back to his Ted Kennedy loving ways and we would STILL be in hell. But then WE would be responsible.

We cannot kick the can out of this. We cannot accept lesser evil. We are far enough from the election to make it known and for actual conservatives to rise up.

If we want conservatism, we have to vote for it, not make more excuses about ‘winning’ because the ‘winners’ don’t.

No, never claimed to be, but I do know something about Mormons.

I don't vote for liberals. If the GOP runs another liberal in 2016, I won't vote for them, either.

I'm a conservative, not a Republican.

I used to be of that mindset and then saw what it produced. As a former Marine conservatism is in my blood. However im not living in fantasy land either thinking a conservative can be elected in this generation. Conservatives are frozen with voting indecision that will continue producing poisonous results living within Regan nastalgia. There will never be a Reagan in our lifetime elected again. Why? The public has been dumbed down, the media for which most illinformed receive their news will lie and not allow it.

I have no faith in the people of this country to do what is right. Why would they? They will in effect vote out their golden goose; The State.

I will vote for someone with a proven history of being pro-life, pro-gun, and for reducing government size and power.

Obviously, Romney didn't meet that criteria.

I will not compromise on those issues. Ever.

There’s a famous line in a stupid movie, namely:

“Being a Democrat means you never have to say you are sorry.”

Or something like that.

Tsunami? We’ll be lucky to keep the House.

Watched a few minutes if SNL last night. They did their usual Fox News Morning Show parody. The topic was the fake 7.1 Million Obamacare Enrollees, with the Fox News Reporters saying Obama missed his “goal” of 7 Million.

Yuk, yuk. No mention of the 6 Million who lost their Insurance. The Fox News guys are stupid and Obama is smart. If he says it, it must be true. The Useful Idiots believe it all. Facts are a mere inconvenience to them.

The Audience laps it up and the Millions watching do as well. These Idiots Vote, and they will Vote in November to protect Mr. Stinkburger’s wonderful Agenda.

As far as the Democrats losing anything, I’ll believe it when I see it. The Propagandist’s will be working overtime to insure the Public is properly educated on the Obama way.

Let’s just say I hope I’m wrong, but I won’t bet a dime either way on the Election outcome.

IIRC you and I have "conversed" before and I seem to recall that you live in...or once lived in...Massachusetts.Anyway,you're correct.Anyone familiar with Howie's show or column would know that. And anyone who read the Herald would know it as well. But,alas, those who depend on Pravda-By-The-Charles,the LA Times or even Fox News for their info wouldn't have the first clue.

?The point I was trying to make,as you know,is that one must know something about day-to-day life here in the Gay State to understand what happens here.People in California and Texas believing that they know this state are delusional.

And BTW...don't reveal the answer to the quiz...let's see if any of these left coast geniuses can figure it out.

the GOP ran an unelectable liberal in 2012

The problem is they are fixin' to do it again in '16.

Do you have a more hopeful view?

I just follow the Levin Rule. Failure to do so results in Democrats running the Country for Generations.

Things are bad now. They will get worse when Obama picks the next Supreme Court Justice. Then it’s over, period.

Remember, Romney was just as bad as Obama, really...

Repeat the Mantra as the Country circles the drain.

We’ll be lucky to keep the House.

That would be quite the democrat feat...Never been done before by the democrat party...

GOP has currently a 34 seat margin (199 to 233), which means there needs to be a swing of 18 seats to win a majority

No way possible we will lose the House...might lose a few seats...but control...isn't going to happen...

I'd gladly give up 10 House seats to win the Senate...
