I will never vote for anyone who endorses legalizing fence jumpers.

Never in a million years. On this issue I am a purist.

And I certainly will not vote for a scold like Jeb Bush.

“We need to elect candidates who have a vision that is bigger and broader, and candidates that are organized around winning the election, not making points,”

Hogwash:

The quote from Jeb above is made in the context of his statements catering to the “making points” talking points objectives of the Democrats/Left/Liberals against the base of the GOP - the lack of “bipartisanship”, the Congressional stalemates on immigration and other issues, the failure to appeal to a broader body politic has zero, zip, nada to do with the principles and positions of the Democrats/Left/Libs, it’s all the fault of the “radicals” in the GOP”, and surely the Conservative principles of the GOP base is nothing to defend - that’s the Democrats/Left/Lib “making points” talking points line, and Jeb is telescoping to the general election voters it will be his line too.

Columba Bush
AKA Columba Garnica Gallo

Born: 1953
Birthplace: León, Guanajuato, Mexico

Gender: Female
Religion: Roman Catholic
Race or Ethnicity: Hispanic
Sexual orientation: Straight
Occupation: Relative
Party Affiliation: Republican

Nationality: United States
Executive summary: Wife of Florida governor Jeb Bush

In June 1999 Columba Bush was thwarted at Altanta International Airport attempting to smuggle $19,000 in French clothing and jewelry into the United States without declaring the purchases. Despite the fact that the U.S. customs officers gave her two opportunities to amend the form, Bush declined. Then they found the receipts in her purse. Bush wrote a check for $4,100 to cover the fine (three times the duty amount) and went on her way. A few days later she claimed her crime had been entirely inadvertent, calling it “an awful mistake” and declaring: “It’s an accident and I regret it with all my heart.”

Jeb Bush’s daughter charged with prescription fraud

Tallahassee police via Reuters
Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s daughter, Noelle Bush, after her arrest early Tuesday.

The daughter of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was arrested Tuesday in Tallahassee on charges of trying to fill a fake prescription for the popular tranquilizer Xanax.

Bush and his wife, Columba, issued a statement that they were “deeply saddened” by the incident involving their middle child and only daughter, Noelle, 24.

They asked the media and the public to respect their privacy “during this difficult time so that we can help our daughter.”

A Walgreens pharmacist suspicious about a call-in prescription notified police at 1:15 a.m. when Noelle Bush showed up at the drugstore’s drive-through in her white Volkswagen to pick it up.

She was charged with prescription fraud, a felony that carries a maximum penalty of five years in jail and a $5,000 fine. Noelle Bush has no known criminal record and was released without having to post bond.

Experts say punishment for a first offense is usually drug treatment or probation.

Noelle Bush has been cited for about a dozen traffic violations and was involved in three automobile crashes since 1995, according to The Associated Press.

Is there ever going to be one (1) Presidential hoperful of any ideological stripe that is going to stand up and say
"No more ethanol in gasoline?"

No more boutique fuels customized for every urban area.

No more super-refined diesel

More diesel passenger cars

Cut the EPA way down

No such thing as "Global warming." People got nuthin much to do with climate change.

Same as McLame and Romneycare. Groundhog Day rerun. The GOP has open primaries in a number of States in which Dems are invited to tweak and corrupt the selection process, rigged as such to favor the handful of DC insiders

If his campaign slogan is going to be “sneaking across the border is an act of love” I”m not optimistic about his chances in the primary. :-)

This family is beyond tiresome now.

“We need to elect candidates who have a vision that is bigger and broader, and candidates that are organized around winning the election, not making points,”

Well, that's true. We need to have GOP candidates - unlike people like Romney and whatever his name was - Santorum - who spent their entire campaign tearing down other GOP candidates but rolled right over and played dead for Obama.

However, I'm not sure that's what he meant. Probably in the primaries, he would be another mini-Romney - no ideas or perhaps only leftist ideas, and a vicious attack dog on other more qualified candidates.

He was a good Florida governor, but I see him more in the Romney mold now than anything else.
