Why is it we have such a short memory retention and can’t recall the debate the Democrat (in name only) party had at their convention about the mere mention or reference of and to God ?
Worse yet take the political opposition named Republican to task because its members fail to make use of it or even refuse to reference to it when comes to expose the (democrats and their) consistant lying ?
I agree to a point CC. We do need to be right with him, but we also need to pray for our countries. The most powerful weapon every Christian gets issued on the day they’re saved is a direct line to God, we need to use that weapon.
When we do pray, we need to remember we are approaching the most intelligent, most powerful, most awesome person in the world or the universe. I think a lot of modern prayer doesn’t hit the mark. We should pray like Jesus did.
I believe we can’t give up on our countries or our fellow man and believers. It’s up to us to fight, and God has already given us the tools.
Actually, God does change His mind. He was going to wipe out the Israelites on several occasions but Moses talked him out of it. He negotiated with Lot. Just a few examples.
God has truth on His side. Satan has The World on his side. God wins.
I read all the way to the climatic end of the book of His truth.
If, and I emphasize “if”, God had to choose a country, the US wouldn’t be it. He made a country, and He has to let His own people get knocked around to get their attention. He is not mocked.
Don’t confuse MERCY with changing his mind.
The two examples you mention are of God delaying judgement and show his mercy.
Malachi 3:6 declares, “I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.” Similarly, James 1:17 tells us, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” The meaning of Numbers 23:19 is clear: “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” No, God does not change His mind. These verses assert that God is unchanging and unchangeable.
So, God does not change his mind like a man, however, he is willing to show Mercy, and patience, which SOME may incorrectly think He has changed His mind, and countenances sin, or so on....
I have often wondered if Obama is not God’s tool for rendering his judgment against us.
God is on the side of Israel and those nations which bless Israel.
Do not be fooled into thinking that Russia has Israel’s best interests at heart.
Also, do not assume that the US is still one which blesses Israel. The fact is that this nation is guilty of electing leaders who are clearly against Israel... so If Obama uses his power against God’s chosen, we as a nation will pay the penalty... as it was with Bush’s betrayal of Israel and the aftermath we know as Katrina.

I don't think we have any standing to declare that "God isn't mad at America" or that "He's not mad at anyone" either. What we know of God's nature is from the Bible, and from it we Americans have reason to fear God's justice. Buchanan's article is worth reading, for it reveals as much about America as it does about Russia. When I contemplate the miraculous blessings that founded, established and sustained America for over two centuries, and then examine what we've more recently done with those blessings, I tremble at the thought of a just, righteous and omnipotent God. We are in great danger.

Pat is still his same old stupid self. His analysis is just off base and wrong. His assumption that Putin actually cares about ‘Christian’ values as opposed to using the wests decay against it is insane. Putin is, was, and always will be KGB. If you had read the bible yourself, you would know that God does not break covenant.
I cannot be counted among God’s “Chosen People”, because I am not Hebrew. I am however counted as a member of the body of Christ (or His church) because I have received Christ as my savior, and profess Him as Lord.
Those among God’s “Chosen People” who DO recognize Jesus as the prophesied messiah and call Him Lord ALSO become brothers and sisters IN Christ with me.

With parts of America embracing such deviancy as fag-marriage, I am becoming more and more convinced that America no longer retains God’s grace, and is transitioning into a genuine entity of evil. The total opposite of everything it once represented and stood for.
Does this mean God is on Russia’s side? Bit of a stretch, to put it charitably. However, it does seem on several fronts that Russia is actively trying to stem the tide of cultural decay, unlike America which continues its downward spiral of mind-boggling corruption and degeneracy.
