GOOGLE TRANSLATION "I am now in Lugansk. The situation is as follows. Terrorists captured in the SBU approximately 300 machines, 100 guns, 20 sniper rifles.

Criminals-mostly military and former Afghans, their indoors up to 150 persons.

Zìvak around the building is still a man.

Among the terrorists of Russian diversantìv, gives the accent and rub that they have. The perimeter of the building, another man 10-15 with racìâmi and with weapons.

Strange, but seized the building of the SBU has not turned off the electricity, water, etc. Terrorists are freely enjoyed computers and mobile communication, coordinate its activities with the outside world.

17 hour Monday scheduled talks with the leaders of the terrorists. They vmovlâtimut′ them to hand over their weapons and leave the room. I believe that no negotiations with terrorists should not be a need to dispose of them. Terrorists with guns is a danger to civilians, so the task of the authorities to protect the people.

According to my information, tomorrow-the day after the terrorists were planning to storm the oblast administration, then progološuvatimut′ the creation of the Luhansk Republic as part of Russia. Therefore, the authorities should act proactively and not coddle terrorists.

On ìnformuvatimu, if you survive. I am not afraid, but actually dangerous

It sounds like a Kiev-inspired thug is calling the Russian population that wants to re-join Russia “terrorists”. Pretty ironic after the way they seized power in Kiev.

Do you have a link for this, or just baseless assertions from the opposition.

Yes, Kristin. Situation occurring real-time. Very difficult as orchestrated from Moscow but leaves those inside without direct command. But, dangerous! Remember, Putin gave the order to shoot at children in Beslan!

It appears the legally elected officials in Donetsk are the ones who want nothing to do with the agents who seized power in Kiev.

“The Republican Council of the People’s Republic of Donetsk addressed to the President of the Russian Federation with a request to deploy temporary peacekeeping contingent on the territory of the region. The deputies unanimously supported the appeal from the Republican Council of the People’s Republic of Donetsk, vesti.ru reports. “

Breathless facebook postings are not to be taken as fact, sorry

“Looks like Putin is making his next move.”

As predicted, though I’m a bit surprised Melitipol isn’t part of the unrest. IMO, if Putin was really behind this, Melitipol would be the lynchpin.

Also, note this tweet from Maxim Eristavi, picked up by The Interpreter:
Ukraine’s parliament considers martial law in Eastern Ukraine following numerous separatist riots - draft law

Putin statement to an FSB gathering today:

“Russia’s laws today give us the conditions we need for non-governmental and public organisations to work freely and transparently.

But we will never accept for them to be used for destructive purposes. We will not accept a situation such as happened in Ukraine, when in many cases it was through non-governmental organisations that the nationalist and neo-Nazi groups and militants, who became the shock troops in the anti-constitutional coup d’état, received funding from abroad.

I ask you to pay attention too, to setting up the FSB’s branches in the new Russian Federation constituent entities of Crimea and Sevastopol.

Their tasks will include making sure that people with a criminal past and advocates of various radical and extremist movements – people who want to prevent the region’s normal development, in other words – do not burrow their way into government bodies there.

Colleagues, counterintelligence has always been one of the FSB’s main areas of work. This is indeed an important part of your responsibilities. Last year alone, the security services put an end to the activities of 46 employees of foreign intelligence services and 258 of their agents.”

This is not just reiterating previous statements.

The Russian government appears to be saying now that the entire leadership in Kiev is illegitimate, that it is supported by non-government organizations and foreign backers who destabilized the country, and that it represents, or at least mirrors, the kinds of existential threats that the FSB is tasked with defeating.

Is Russia now making the next stage of a rhetorical argument for invading eastern Ukraine?

Interesting how “Terrorist” has become the new N-word, employed to silence all discussion and disagreement. I really don’t know whose hands are clean in this mess — the “illegal” new regime in Kiev that overthrew Ukraine’s duly elected government, or the armed insurrectionists in Eastern Ukraine that now want to join with Russia. But what I do know is that these are matters for Ukraine and Russia to decide, and none of our business.

It is unkind to promote disinformation against the people of Ukraine that want to maintain the unity of their country against occupation. The plans to take over Ukraine have been planned for many years as noted in partially destroyed documents from palace of Viktor Yanukovych. Your information is INCORRECT: Residents of Donetsk region appealed to the ACTING PRESIDENT OF UKRAINE: Oleksandr Turchynov NOT President of the Russian Federation!!! GOOGLE TRANSLATION Residents of Donetsk region appealed to the Acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov asking to protect them from the separatists and bring the situation in the region under its control. This is stated in an open letter, published Donetsk media. "We, the residents of Donetsk region, deeply concerned about the situation created by the activities of criminal organizations in the anti-Ukrainian Donetsk and region . Since the beginning of March this year, in the center of Donetsk regularly continue to aggressively minded people gather under the flag of the Russian Federation , who cynically and with impunity, to the eyes of the inhabitants of the city, committing criminal acts: openly call for separatism , seize administrative buildings, beaten and humiliated residents claiming pro-Ukrainian position, openly mock the state symbols of Ukraine, block the message and work of public transport, ports and destroying property , which shows or installed Ukrainian symbols"- the statement says. The letter reminded that many people in the region affected, and at least one person was killed and open support for the integrity of Ukraine at a meeting March 13, 2014." Over the last month have been repeatedly attacked by members interfaith prayer marathon within the" pray for Ukraїnu" for wearing a Ukrainian flag were beaten by pro-Ukrainian activists, as well as members of the bike ride in support of the integrity of Ukraine", - said the representative of the community. "Described facts are just the tip of the iceberg , and became known through the work of the media. Illegal actions against supporters integrity of Ukraine have not accidental but a massive and systemic in nature , resulting today in Donetsk to speak publicly in support of the integrity of Ukraine and go out national symbols danger to life,"- said in a statement. Donbass residents complained soft stance towards law enforcement and provocateurs separatists and the central government urged to bring the situation under control. " We appeal to you, as the guarantor of the integrity of our country, respect for the Constitution , human rights and freedoms, with a request to find out the causes of indecision and sometimes complete inactivity of the government in solving problems containing a danger to residents of Donetsk region, and for Ukrainian society, carrying a threat to Ukrainian statehood , territorial integrity and constitutional order "- the statement reads . The authors asked Turchinova treatment, using all available to it management, human resources and power, " to take urgent measures to ensure the safety of the inhabitants of Donetsk region, to create conditions for the rights and freedoms of the people of the region, and personally oversee the performance of law-enforcement agencies of their duties and protect the rule of law Ukraine's interests. " According to Channel 5 last night Turchynov called an emergency meeting of the National Security Council on the situation in the south-east, but so far its results are not reported. Recall yesterday after meeting separatist pro-Russian activists seized the building of Donetsk Regional Administration and continue to hold it. According to eyewitnesses, the police no serious resistance to the invaders are not provided. Based on: News of Donbass

The pics are all undated and unattributed. Going off of unsubstantiated facebook rumor is what gave us MB controlled Libya and Egypt, and almost Syria.

Martial law could be trigger for Russian armed intervention. Russia is not going to idly stand by when Kiev seeks to repress Russian speakers in the east. Its developing into an explosive situation.

Yes, you are correct. Ukraines once the 3rd largest nuclear power disarmed have been promised protection by U.S., Great Britain, Russia... continued orchestrated infiltration by Russia. PUTIN LIES!

1. Main historical ethnicity in Crimea is Krim Tatars who were being killed massively during WW2 by Soviets and resettled from Crimea by force after 1944 (ethnical cleaning). After that Russians populated Crimea changing ethnical picture of the peninsula. Krim Tatars started coming back after 1991 and now they support the sovereignty.
of Ukraine and consider themselves Ukrainian citizens. However, they are NOT BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE!

2. By invading Crimea Russia broke sovereignty of Ukraine and international agreements on the integrity of Ukraine that it signed in 1994 in Budapest along with the USA and UK. If international agreements mean nothing to Putin which agreement he will break next?

3. Ethnic Russians in Ukraine were never persecuted for their origin or language – that is the biggest lie you will find no evidence of.

4. By invading Crimea Russia created local separatists movement and prevented ANY peaceful resolution of the political crisis in Ukraine.

5. Russia continues to is hide criminal Yanukovich who is being wanted by Hague for mass economical crimes and homicides in Ukraine.

Elected leaders are the ones moving to separate from the activists in Keiv, not street agitators.

Turchynov is in the process of outlawing street demonstrations, much like the actions his fellow activists rebelled against.

Only the people of Ukraine can chose their future, and that can not happen without open elections.

Rule by force by unelected “officials” is not in the best interests of Ukraine.

East and West Ukraine are more divided than ever, and each side does not trust the other. The fractures were present, and growing, for a long tome, especially as the economic futures of Ukraine and Russia began to diverge sharply.

It isn’t nearly as simple as that, of course, But Putin moving to counter US and NGO destabilization of Ukraine only requires a small push, not a huge invasion.

Look at how Crimea went down.

The 1994 Budapest Memorandum was never worth the paper it was written on, and was never intended to be. For it to have been binding upon the United States, the “agreement” would have to have been submitted as a treaty for Senate ratification. That was never done, proving it to be a hollow and cynical promise that the “guarantor” parties thought would never be called due.

A friend phoned his father. He lives in a small town near Donetsk a miner’s village in the stepps.

GOOGLE TRANSLATION:
-As how does the mood [of the people]swings, the separatists support people? -speak.

-These Clowns? Heard something about them. But no one takes them seriously. How can the miners support a bunch of homeless people?

But if Putin troops enters, what will [you do]? -I ask.

-Well, I am spoke with the men. All served. Will create guerrilla units and fight.

We [will] mine our own building, know where the trunk comes out. All faces, pins can be with closed eyes. Us there and the atomic explosion did not visit.

Then.. Carry on, if that.

Yes, the Russians are behind this—But the Ukrainians are so messed up they are falling into his trap. Now he’s building his land bridge to Criema—thats all. The lands between Criema and Russia will become Russian within a few days and weeks. Putin isn’t done with his conquests. After this he will digest his territorian meal for a while. Worry not—he will pump money down there and the people will find Russian rule easy-—”A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down.”
