All this “we have to run the electable one” stuff falls on my deaf ears. If you have to sell your soul to win, it’s better that you don’t win.

I was going to say they will never be a Bush v Clinton election since they are ideological partners but then I realized that would be beautiful for them - the Bush/Clinton party could not possibly lose that election.

This whole thing is based on what she said on Howie Carr. She just stated that on Immigration, I repeat Immigration, Romney had the best policy. Romney’s position was to encourage self deportation, while everybody else considering to run in 2016 has some sort of amnesty. She said nothing more or less on the matter.
See, the way it works is we are all supposed to get together and heap praise of talking heads who oppose everything we claim to believe in. That way when the election is 2 weeks away, we can feel good about abandoning principle again, because those heroic tv and radio people agree with ‘us’. And SHIRLEY ‘we’ can’t all be wrong!
Then when the RINO loses again, we can blame people who refused to play along with the Alice in Wonderland delusion we collectively built to live in.
Think of it an an exercise in rank stupidity that plays out every couple years.

To your point though ... it boggles the mind. I wish I could find the exact quote from her book but I can’t. She wrote about how we lose EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. when we run a moderate and win when we run a conservative. Then she championed Christie and now Romney.
FWIW, I don’t think she seriously believes Romney will run again. I think she’s just being Ann, which is to say controversial.
Maybe she's not as conservative as she seems to have convinced you that she is.

You call it exactly. The re-runs are tedious. IMO, we get no where until conservatives own the GOP lock, stock, and barrel - which I do NOT think will happen - or until we jettison the ruin and begin anew.

I lost all respect for her when she went on her anti-tea party tirade. Now she supports all R incumbents, regardless of their interest in representing the Constitution.
She is dead to me and I will never buy another of her books. In fact, I fast forward through any segment on any radio program that has her on as a guest.
