The Chattanooga plant’s February secret-ballot vote to remain non-union was seen as a major triumph for the right-to-work community. But Volkswagen has since been under intense pressure from the company’s highly influential German union IG-METAL to figure out how to void the election result.

Can’t Obama just issue an executive order?

I think it was GM’s Union plant in Tennessee that closed under Obama Motors. It was Union Boeing in Oak Ridge that about a year after a long strike was shuttered as well. A unionized tire manufacturing company closed as well. Unions in general are not that popular here. Nor wanted.

And in true union fashion, they would rather destroy and close the plant than not have control.

German products are changing.

Vw has significant quality problems now.

Since production of the original Beetle ended, VW has had quality/reliability/durability problems.

I drive a German car, but I've never thought of German cars as being trouble-free.

Those interested should keep in mind that VW includes the brands Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Ducati available in the USA, and Euro brands Seat, Skoda, Scania and Man.

I liked the rabbit that Stephanie Zimbalist drove in Remington Steele. Stephanie was the better part of package with or without the rabbit.

Don’t forget Rolls Royce. VW/Porsche/Audi owns Rolls Royce.

At least the CEO THOUGHT he bought Rolls Royce and Bentley together.

Alas, BMW got Rolls Royce automobiles and VW et.al. got the Rolls Royce aircraft engine plant.

When that happened it was a sign to me that VW et.al. was toast.

Then came the VW Phaeton...

Right you are, kinda.

Rolls-Royce is actually a BMW brand with Mini, but the relationship is a bit complicated.

In early 1993, Volkswagen decided to start mass marketing a car for homosexuals. It was called the Volkswagen Rabbit. They were the first company to proudly, publicly endorse homosexuality. The first to portray homosexual men in a commercial, holding hands while cruising.

No conservative or Christian should ever buy a Volkswagen,

The King of queers.

One of the things that love about the South is the abject hatred for the Socialist (i.e. Communist) Unions. If that ever changes, then I will know that the wrong people from up North have immigrated to the South (e.g. see South Florida and Virginia).

I remember a friend of mine had a standard Vega that had a V6 shoehorned in. Left a Cosworth in the dust one time.

Nowadays, base model economy cars from Japan have twin cams and four valves per cylinder standard.
